Handyman Connection - Vancouver

I've had Handyman Connection help out with a number of issues in my new place, which had been a rental. Being new to the area I knew no tradespeople and was so pleased to stumble upon this group. I've had painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing all done by their craftspeople, all of whom were excellent. Every one of them has come when they said they would and completed the project on time. With Handyman you know you'll pay the quoted price with no surprises as they use an up-front agreement to ensure there are no misunderstandings. I've recommended them to anyone looking to get work done around their homes and will continue to do so.

Our experience with handyman connection was very pleasant. We had George come to our home and give us a firm quote. He returned a few days later to install baseboards. He was punctual, neat and didn't rush. George did a great job and was also a very kind man. The office staff were very friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend him and this company.

Beware using this company. They abandoned my job half way through the work being completed and now they are trying to collect for work which was not completed. They are threatening filing a lien and debt collection for work they never did. The first employee refused to get on my roof, the second walked off the job 20 minutes after arrival. The third - couldn't get to it... I was left to do the work myself. The owner then said workers comp wouldn't allow them to work on my roof - even though it was part of the agreed upon work/quote.

I am an interior designer and have relied on and have been very impressed with the services offered by Handyman Connection. Haider Ghazi (President), knows how to choose excellent people and tries to match his employees' expertise to the job.
Whether the job is very small - or a larger job, it is always handled extremely professionally. Many of my clients have had trouble finding someone reliable to do smaller jobs. Handyman Connection is the way to go!

Nick Jouhari did an excellent job of making our garden gate fit and work properly. He was professional: arrived on time, kept me informed of changes to an additional scheduled visit to finish the job. He was friendly and kept me fully informed about what he was going to do and did do. Thank you, Nick.

Shafiq showed up promptly, was friendly, courteous and professional. He was a good plumber and knew what he was doing and that kept the price down. I felt very comfortable having him in my home and as a senior on dissability that is very important to me.

We hired Nick Jouhari through Handyman Connection and are very glad we did. We wanted a new shower stall in one of our bathrooms (new tile, fixtures, door, paint etc.) and got estimates from 4 different contractors. Nick was the most reasonable(by far in some cases) and performed good quality work. Probably because it is an older house Nick encountered some problems but he persevered, put in the extra work that was involved but stuck to his original estimate-charging us exactly what he committed to-and not a penny more. He was professional, neat and tidy; it was a pleasure to deal with him. Unlike some contractors he handled all the material purchases and pickups, which was very convenient. The finished product is terrific and so is Nick. We highly recommend him and would use him again without hesitation.

We hired Handyman Connection in hopes of getting 3 things fixed. Nick, was the handyman they sent:
1) installing a new light fixture
2)installing a bathroom shelf
3) securing a shower handle (aka mixer).
The first 2 services were completed and the complaint remains with the 3rd service provided. The handyman had used silicon to secure the shower handle to the wall, however, it ended up rendering the unit useless. We were able to turn the shower faucet on and were not able turn the faucet off until we dismantled the shower handle ourselves, leaving an hour and a half of running hot water to waste. We asked to speak with a manager, hoping to have a reconciliation as we had paid for this service. They did arrange a time for a meeting. However, the operations manager met us at the doorway, refused to come in, and stated that there are always customers like us who are trying to take advantage of the company. They stated that their only job was to glue on the shower mixer, and not to make sure it is functioning. I argued that, as a professional handyman, they should have either refused to do the job or advise us that after installing the unit, our shower will not be functional. (To note, the shower was functional before, just the shower handle had fallen off). I hire a professional so that they may be able to fix my problem, and not to create another one. I sincerely hope that they are not doing this to other customers they have as the operations manager made it sound like many customers in their past had made complaints. He refused to even inspect, fix, or refund this issue, stating that the contract is black and white and that "installing the shower handle" did not mean that "it will function". But, in my opinion, isn't that what you hire a handyman for - so that when they install something, it functions? When I ask to speak to his supervisor, he stated that there is none and so when I ask to speak to the owner, he says there is none because it is a franchise. He continued to refuse to give me any other means of contact or information and stated, "you can try to call our office again". I hope to have this issue resolved and to spare future customers from horrible, complacent, and condescending customer service.

I got a quote and had my entire interior painted professionally within 48 hours. The painter, Carrie, was a perfectionist, completing the project in one day, staying late to get the job done. I'd recommend them to anyone.

They came they estimated and stuck to the estimate. Handyman arrived on time and the job was excellent. He advised us to change the fixture that would incure less labour to one that we Picked. We are now even happier fixture now.
