Griffin Decks

The project looks great. We needed a privacy fence to replace cedars we took out after landscaping. Mike suggested 6x6 posts which look really good and substantial. All the posts are perfectly aligned and the wood looks really good even after 2 winters. I'd recommend Griffin Construction to anyone.

I chose Griffin construction to build my deck based on a referral from a friend and was extremely pleased I did. They were very professional and completed the job within the same day. They have a framing background which reassured me it would be structurally sound. Would highly recommend them!

We hired Mike to build a new deck and install gates in our yard. Mike got our deck built inbetween other jobs~ but still kept us in the loop of when to expect everything finished.
He had some great suggestions for our privacy fence.
It didn't take long and we LOVE it! It looks fantastic!!
I wouldn't hestitate to recommend Griffin Construction to a friend.

The owner & operator of this company "Mike Griffin" built a large deck for me 3 months ago at my house(March, 2011). The whole experience was terrible. The deck was not built in one day as adverised. Infact, getting just getting the deck built in one weekend was a hassle fot this guy.

Since then, I have noticed bad pieces of wood everywhere. The materials used were just terrible. There is bad wood on the ralings and on the decking itself.

I understand this can happen. I called Mike and very politely asked him to come around and have a look & asked they be replaced. His attitude was just horrible. He basically just brushed me off so rudely & said he would be there in "a couple of weeks when he was in my area" (I live in central Toronto).

It has been well over a month now and Mike Griffin ignores all of my emails & calls to him. He has completely shut us out. I now have to hire another Decking company to come & replace all the bad boards, although apparently "Griffin Construction" offers a 5 year warranty.

DO NOT hire this operation. If there's a problem, Mike
Griffin will not even acknowledge you exist!

I hired Mike Griffin to frame my basement and install a subfloor. Mike and Tim did an excellent job on both the framing and subfloor. All the other trades I hired, commented on the framing and how well it was done. Even the Toronto building inspector said the work was exceptional. I have hired Mike to install the hardwood, doors and finishing to finish my basement reno. This guy is busy, but he always makes time for the customer. It is a pleasure to work with a straight shooter like Mike. Not only this, but his price for labour is excellent, giving you a quote on the spot after he measures. Mike is very helpful, with good suggestions. I will hire Mike again for a deck I need in my back yard.
