Greg Free Pool & Spa Service Inc.

We have used this service for over 12 years. They are knowledgeable, responsible and efficient. Any pool problems we were having were always immediately assessed and then expertly resolved.
The only negative is they are difficult to reach by phone.

EFFICIENT SERVICE, VERY REASONABLE AND EXCELLENT WORK GETTING OUR ABOVE GROUND POOL FUNCTIONAL AGAIN. A-1 JOB!!
THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS. WE DID NOT HAVE ONE PROBLEM WITH THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WITHOUT ANY HESITATION

Paid $500 each for opening and closing last year (our first year with a pool). Water level was not met, pool cover ripped. Called, no answer - that was January, it is now March. Emailed and got a call telling us that they are not refunding and it's not their fault. Liners can leak and we are suppose to check the water level - how the hell are we suppose to know that if our "experts" did not tell us? We asked for a walk through (she reminded me it was free, even though I would have been happy to pay for good advice - we know now why it's free). We are now in need of a new liner and cover - which will be over $3000. STAY AWAY.

I had used this company for 2 years. the first year they did the job ok. I only get them to open and close my pool. This first year they charged more ($160) more then quoted but said my brand new pool pump seized up. the close that year was also additional cost. Last year 2018 they charged my credit card 3 times without asking. I was also charged for things that I should not have been charged. it is almost impossible to reach Crystal or anyone when you call. THEY NEVER CALL BACK. I like to support local business BUT NOT THIS ONE. beware they talk a good game but don't come through with anything. and they don't return calls when you have an issue. I had called 3 times nothing

We used Greg Free pool service for the last 3 years, I thought they were great.
BUT this year we had a little problem, so of course we phoned the office and left a message to talk about it.
Then left another message a couple of days later, none nasty or angry, and a few more over the next couple of weeks, but Greg Free is AVOIDING US!!
The receptionist Crystal never returned a phone call.
We left messages for Greg to call us, he didn’t. I don’t know if he even heard that we wanted to talk to him.
So what is going on?
A Business won’t talk to clients??

Hoe can we ever use Greg Free again? Obviously they don’t want us as customers, BUT WON’T CALL US to tell us.

I have been using Greg Free for pool opening/closing and repair or maintenance issues for about 4 years now. I'm sorry I didn't find them years ago. Many pool companies in Oakville have a poor attitude toward customer service and inevitably employ summer students who aren't given proper training. The result is often service that's expensive and sub-standard. At Greg Free, the staff is mature, knowledgeable and dependable. In addition to seasonal opening and closings, I have purchased a new pump and a safety cover. They have given me excellent service and competitive pricing. I would recommend them to anyone.
