they claim they did a seasonal care service on my lawn for weeding and spring fertization however I did not contract their services. several calls later it took them to believe me however I still think they think I actually hired them!

I have used Green Lawn for a few years for lawn maintenance. The package included 4 visits of fertilizing, weed and insect control, plus unlimited spot treatment between scheduled visits.

Their work was great when the old chemical spray was allowed to be sprayed. Services and result went way downhill after the no chemical spray bylaws come into effect in Markham. Lawn fertilization quality remained good last year. Weed and insect control quality was poor. "Weed pulling" service was advertised to be included in the package as weed control. However, there was still so much weeds that I ended up pulling weekly myself. When I called for "spot treatment" services, it was declined and said the service technican would do it on the next scheduled visit. Insect control is non existent, and that I can understand. However, the price of the package didn't decrease in line with the elimination of the insect control services.

I have cancelled my contract with Green Lawn for 2009 season.

After their "care", my lawn was ruined. It took years to restore my lawn to normal after just one season with these guys. They took my money and buggered off. Calls to them resulted in no action being taken at all. Finally they promised me a $300 refund, which they reneged on. In the time that followed, hey saw it fit to harass me their lousy advertising. It took three angry letters to halt the phone calls and mail; the last one which was pretty nasty. I think they finally got the message.

I was home at the time they came to do the service, saw them pull up. I was doing some work in the backyard. 10 min later I go to my garage and saw a bill stuck to my front door claiming they did their work. I called the company immediately to report this problem, they said they will have the guy call us back. The dude called us back denying the entire thing. Then he claimed that because we received a bill, it does not mean that the job was done. After about 20 min on the phone he then admitted that he didn't do it because the weather was bad. So if you're not home when they arrive, there's a good chance they can scam you and just leave the bill when they really did nothing.
