Declan is just so pleasant - our power was out in a number of weird places and I couldn't figure out the problem. I was home along with my kids for the week and going nuts without my phone plugged in or the tv, not to mention the main bathroom light. Declan arrived literally the same day I called (and he came in the evening because I had to work all day), figured out the problem in a matter of minutes, fixed it and then double-checked everything just in case. It just required a reset button, but he could have told me it was anything and I would have believed him! Instead, he just charged me basically for his travel time back and forth. Highly recommended!

Declan came to my rescue being referred to me by a friend. Tried at least a dozen guys to come to do the job but it was either too small or they were on holidays being the last two weeks prior to labour day. I had an electrician scheduled for 7 pm who cancelled same day. I needed the job done before the property inspector came the next morning and Declan was over within two hours (by 4 pm). I got my plug installed so I could get the pump working for my air conditioning and the crossed wires fixed . While he was there I added a few other odds and ends and Declan just did everything with no complaint. He was so friendly and did a great job. I was out of his working area but when I explained how desperate I was he was willing to come and help me out.

A friend recommended Declan from Green Isle Electric as we needed pot lights installed, dimmer switches, new ceiling light and light switches moved. He arrived on time, did an excellent job and was very reasonably priced. He cleaned up all the mess and was very professional. I highly recommend him.

Declan was recommended by my neighbour who had work done the previous year ,by Declan.
Having had bad/poor work done in the past,we swore we would only ever go with the trades from references.
He showed up promptly ,unusual in the trades today !!!lol,and his quote came in slightly higher than the other two quotes.
Declan came over as someone who knew his work ,and we were comfortable in taking him on ,after calling some of the many references around the beach,that he furnished us with...we even knew one of the people in his list !!.
Work was completed on time,cleaned up good,and was right on the money.We will get Declan again.

We hired Declan at Green Isle to remove the remaining knob & tube wiring from our 80 year old house. While his quote wasn't the lowest, it was very reasonable and thorough, and he provided lots of references for the exact same kind of work he had done previously.

Declan exceeded our expectations in every way. He worked with us to find ways to minimize the amount of "damage" that needed to be done in order to do the job. He cleaned all the debris up every night, and tucked his equipment out of the way. He told us it would take 4 - 5 days, and it was done in 4. We couldn't be happier with the end result.

I needed a circuit to be run all the way to the 3rd floor of our home for a new efficient ductless AC unit and some other issues with a few switches around the home and some clean up in the electrical panel. Declan was on time and did a wonderful job. He came with all the appropriate tools and didn't have to pronounce the "got to go back to shop for that" phrase that is so common these days. Anyways, when we decide to redo the basement , finding a good electrician won't be problem.

Declan came on time (which is rare for a tradesperson) and always a man of his word. He even phoned to say that he would be a bit late. This kind of behaviour is unheard of :-) He even came back when there was a problem with one of the baseboard heaters that he installed. I would use him again, no question.

Declan installed a new electrical panel for us when we bought our house but we did not investigate knob and tube at the at time. We were happy with the work on the panel. My husband later discovered we had some knob and tube when we were going to install a new porch light. Declan did a survey of the house and identified where all the knob and tube was. He removed it all and also installed some light fixtures for us. The invoice came in slightly under the original quote as there was a little bit less work than expected, which I thought was honest and fair. The work was very good quality and while not cheap I think it was reasonably priced. Declan has an excellent reputation in the Beaches area, which is well deserved.

We used this company,Green Isle Electric,that was recommended by our neighbours and the Electricial Safety Authority,to install 19 potlights in our home in the beaches.Declan (the master Electrician ) arrived on time to quote us,was manerly and explained everything in great detail.His quote was right in the middle of the three contractors that we used,but Declan came highly recommended by two of our neighbours,so we used him.
The installation was precise,clean and finished fantastic.After seeing the compent level , we used Declan to install two outdoor plugs,and also install three ceiling fans in our bedrooms (there was no lights in place and Declan had to newly wire to these, the access holes were to a bare min.).Declan now is the neighbourhood Electrician in the beaches for us and all our friends.
