Emerald Moving

Moving sucks and is terribly stressful, but with Emerald Moving's box delivery service and packing tutorial I felt much more in control. On moving day they were professional and friendly. Their system was sensible and organized. We really enjoyed working with them start to finish and would highly, highly recommend their service.

AMAZING. Last minute booking. Fast and careful. Yes, a little more expensive that some other estimates but it included everything. I could have just put up my feet while they did the moving. It was so nice.

I work for a small Not-for-Profit organization, and we just moved into new digs about six blocks away from our old location. Despite a date change and our new landlord telling us we couldn't move in until after 5pm, my interactions with Wendy in the office were great, and our moving team, Michael and Richard, couldn't have been better! We were located in a lovely old building @ Bloor/Spadina, with of course no elevator, so they had to schlep up and door three flights of stairs with our stuff. They took a door off its hinges as necessary to get our desks out, and handled all our items with great care; obviously very organized/experienced in what they do. We also appreciated their patience when the security guard at the new place was nearly half-hour late giving us access to the freight elevator. It was a long day for them (and us!) but Michael and Richard couldn't have been more professional and supportive. Consequently, we can highly recommend Emerald!

Emerald moving gave me a flat rate quote for a move between a Condo and a Townhouse. Their staff was very professional in that they wrapped all the furniture in protective blankets and took care to ensure no damage occurred. The flat rate service was appreciated as they were motivated to make the move quick, but did not rush and made sure the job was done properly. I would definitely recommend them as you get more than what you pay for with this service.

Emerald movers are the best movers I have ever used. I recommended them to my sister immediately after using them and she used them and thought they were great too. They arrived on time did the entire move in 3 hours. Service was neat, careful, friendly, and prompt. Both men were pleasant and did a great job. They exceeded all my expectations.

The office staff is also really great. I receieved a detailed, fixed amount quote for the entire job. Was contacted for confirmation and with a quick a reminder roughly a week before.

I will use them again everytime I move.

I was setting up a move for our Toronto office on very short notice. I was referred to Emerald because the first moving company I contacted could not accommodate us on such short notice. From the first phone call to setting the items into storage this was the most hassle free and professional move I have ever experienced. David McClean and his staff showed up on time and handled the move - including taking apart furniture that I did not have the tools to dismantle myself, in half the time I expected the move to take. They boxed, and wrapped items and moved them quickly and carefully and recommended a storage facility to keep the items until we could set up a sale of equipment. David and his staff provided professional, service and guidance every step of the way. I have been involved in 5 office and home moves, and this experience rates a 10 out of 10. This set the standard for service and I could not have been happier with the experience.

What I liked most about Emerald Moving was its fixed price as quoted over the phone.So from the get-go, I knew exactly the total cost of my move. Just as important, the service received was superb. We moved from a downtown loft in Toronto to a home two weeks before Christmas. Moving is usually stressful but Emerald Moving was a treat from beginning to end. They did everything right. The staff was helpful and courteous over the phone and the movers themselves were professional and efficient during the move. I really appreciated the flat rate fee, as that really took a lot of worry off my mind. I will definitely be contacting them for my next move and I can't think of anything they could have possibly have done better.

I read about Emerald on this website, and decided to give them a try. I had a relatively small move, so I asked for one mover only. Michael arrived on time and immediately put me at ease. He politely declined my offer to help, for which I was grateful. He proceeded to do all of the work without rushing, taking meticulous care not to damage any of my antique furniture. In short, the move was blissfully uneventful- it went without any hitch whatsoever. My advice for assuring yourself a stress-free move is to hire Emerald.
