Foundation Repair and Waterproofing

We had a short length of foundation wall repaired last month and the Dilullo guys did a great job. The wall had freeze-thaw damage (being 100+ years old) and was letting in bit of moisture. John's crew stuck to their cost estimate and finished on time - what more could you want. The work involved repairing a part of the foundation, pouring a wall to cap the deteriorated area, and waterproofing. They also sealed some small crack with a rubber compound. John gave a courtesy call after a storm to check in on the work - nice follow-up from a fellow who really care about his work.

Repair Brick Work On Garage

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

I hired Dilullo based the reviews I read. he came by to give a quote and we decided to go ahead on the repair of the brickwork on my garage. The brickwork ended up being in much worse shape below ground level than we expected so it took much longer to do but they stuck to their quote and did a excellent job. John Dilullo is not a slap-dash guy, he does the job properly and doesn't take short cuts; although the work is mainly done by his crew, he was here every day on the job. I would recommend him to anyone else we live in a very old house that has needed a lot of repairs and upgrades over the last 7 years, so I've had a lot of contractors - without exaggerating, he is by far the best I've had in the quality of his work, getting the job done quickly and properly, and at a reasonable cost

Exterior paint and chimney work

We had to do exterior paint on the back of our house, as well as fixing some parching on our chimney. John went to look for the causes of the cracks (on the roof). When they opened the chimney up, the bricks were sand and they had to rebuild the chimney. They did a very good job of the reconstruction and painting. John was very communicative, always looking for the best solution for us. He will even find the right people to do the work they don't do. He stuck to his estimate, even though the job got bigger than first thought. He sometimes takes a bit longer to get back to you than you expect, but he is very reliable and friendly.

Waterproofing

John and his crew where thorough, took pictures, kept us informed throughout the process, and cleaned up everything after the work was done. The job was very well done. Only complaint is that it took a bit longer than was originally anticipated, but even with the slight delay, it was a thorough and professional job.

Exterior Waterproofing

Outlined clearly the job description, took photos of the work, kept me informed of the progress. John also followed up after the first rain storm to ensure there were no issues. Highly Recommend!

Tuckpointing and some minor reconstruction

John came by personally to provide an estimate when we needed to repair some disintegrating concrete around our door - subject to leaking during rainfall -, a cracked step, and to have tuckpointing done along the side of our home.

He was very knowledgeable and happy to inform me as he went about his inspection. He also told me about ways contractors would get the work done in a subpar manner with cheaper materials. He and his crew arrived within a week where most companies would not take a smaller job or tell me I would have to wait at least a month for available time.

I had at last one other estimate and can say that his quote was competitive, and reasonable that also included rebuilding (not patched) a cracked step.

He and his crew came early, worked the whole day and cleaned up after themselves.

The tuckpointing was thorough as they ground them out so that they could use larger amount of mortar and not just do it very superficially. They rebuilt part of the step and the area around our door with structural concrete to ensure strength and longetivity. The results were tidy, sturdy and professional. No deposits, payment at the end of a job. I recommend John and his crew.
