Hardwood floor refinishing and patching
Dimitri recently refinished our old birch hardwood floors and re-stained them. He was able to show us a few different staining options which was very helpful in making our final decision as she showed us the stain on our actual floors. The final stain is beautiful and consistent throughout. The sanding was also done very well and we haven’t found any areas of concern.
We had also torn down part of a wall as part of recent renovations and required some patch work to an area of the hardwood floors. Dimitri was able to patch the gap areas beautifully using pieces of the hardwood that we had salvaged from elsewhere in the house. Because of the way the hardwood had been laid out in the past, not all the new pieces were able to line-up correctly, so Dimitri was able to find a solution that involved shaving pieces of the wood and notching a few so that the new planks lined-up. It turned out great and saved us from having to replace larger areas with different wood. We are very happy with the results!
