Replace all ductwork in basement, move furnace, new duct runs to 2nd floor

Lou came to look at our old ductwork system and listened to what we wanted, came up with a plan and gave us a fair quote. On the day of the job, we added labour intensive things which they were happy to do (move furnace). Lou/Marino and the other crew member worked hard, did a beautiful job with the ducts and fixed the variable heating in our old three storey house. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to fix HVAC issues.

new gas line for stove & fireplace + HVAC modification

Lou and his brother Marino are so easy going. This is my 3rd time using their services. We are so happy with their work. They installed a gas line for the stove and fireplace. In addition they added 2 new vent (returns) for the furnace. Both jobs were labour intensive and tricky. Lou and Marino did minimal adjustments to the placement of our new vents. Their suggestions were a lovely addition to our existing layout. I would whole heartedly recommend both Lou and Marino for your next project. They are so personable, but more importantly they are excellent professionals.

Things that impressed me:
1. They got straight to work and finished promptly.
2. They were tidy and cleaned up before they left.
3. Lou followed up with us to make sure we were happy.

I don't remember exactly what we paid for this job, but I do remember is was right in line with the other quotes we had.

HVAC ductwork replaced in attic

Wow. Lou is awesome to work with. He is responsive, knows his stuff and very professional. They replaced all the ductwork in my attic and put in new ductwork. The old ductwork was rotted, installed improperly and leaking hot air into the attic. Lou and his crew replaced the old ductwork and put in new ductwork and they did a wonderful job.

Reroute and reconnect interior gas line

Hired them to reroute and reconnect our interior gas lines as we had the exterior gas supply line and gas meter moved to a new location. This is the third time I have hired Lou (and Marino) to do some work for me, and as always they do a top notch job on time and at a fair price.

Heating Duct Installation

Dave White Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd has "downsized" and redesigned an oversized ductwork heating system on one of our job site. We hired Lou and we are are very pleased with his work and professionalism.
Lou showed up on time for the estimate and listen to our requests and questions. He offered professional and helpful advice, answers and solutions. He provided a written estimate with detailed design, and size description. Once the project was confirmed Lou and his entire team arrived on time on the scheduled date with the manufactured duct pieces and begin installation.
Lou and the team was polite, professional and helpful during the installation. They completed the work on time and cleaned up the work area.
We are very impressed and satisfied with there work and we looking forward to work with Lou and his team again on future upcoming project.
We highly recommended Dave White Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd.

install new supply runs, cap off old runs

We had 3 new supply runs installed to replace old and defunct runs that were cut out and capped. Lou was very easy to work with. He was flexible enough to come in based on the other contractors we had working on renos in our house. He did exactly what we asked and consulted with us to let us know what was happening and why he did what he did. Courteous, efficient, and considerate. Job was done in 1 day. When I noticed afterwards that one old hole from old venting hadn't been sealed in basement plus I was having trouble fitting a couple of my vent covers, Lou came back and fixed the issues, no problem, no hassle. I would definitely recommend him.

New HVAC system and ductwork

In June 2014 we bought a house with electric baseboard heat with the intention of converting it to a natural gas, forced air system. Also the house had an electric hot water tank and only a ductless air conditioning unit installed on the second floor. After getting mechanical drawings done that showed the size and routing of all the ductwork throughout the house we began meeting with contractors. Over the span of several months we met or talked to about 25 companies. We disqualified most of the 25 for various reasons: bad attitude, better suited to larger or commercial jobs, price too low, price too high, etc. One company’s price was $55,000 plus HST! Some companies decided not to provide a price quote after visiting the house because they deemed the job too difficult due to the relatively small space in the attic. We were not doing a total gut renovation of the house so that too added to the difficulty of the job given all the new ductwork that was required.
We found Dave White Heating late in the process but are glad that we did. Lou Aretusi returned my initial phone call promptly. A few weeks later, when we were ready to begin the job, we arranged a meeting with Lou at the house. One thing we noticed was that, compared to the many other HVAC contractors that visited the house, Lou actually took measurements to see how the house compared to the mechanical drawings. Being a difficult job, he wanted to make sure if it was possible for the ductwork to be installed according to the plan before committing to the work. He suggested a few tweaks to the plans that would help to keep the project in our budget and still give the desired results.
After two more visits to the house to check all the various details, which we welcomed and viewed as a positive sign, we received a quote. We were able to work with Lou to land on a price that was acceptable to all and a start date in the not too distant future. The crew of 3 arrived on time the first day and started work. Considering the difficulty, the project went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was excellent, with Lou letting us know a week ahead of time which days he would be working the following week. This approach worked out well as it allowed my wife and I to coordinate our schedules with our employer. Lou communicated with the mechanical designer as needed, coordinated with the company that spray foamed the new ductwork in the garage and attic, as well as the carpenter that framed the ductwork in the garage. Lou also provided a reference for a plumbing company – in order to move some water pipes on the basement out of the way of the ductwork – that turned out to be dependable and competitively priced.
We now have a brand new forced air heating and cooling system, including air conditioner and furnace, along with the new gas lines that Lou installed to the barbecue and stove. Dave White Heating and Lou were a pleasure to deal with. We were always able to reach Lou whenever necessary, asked him many questions and the project was completed on time, even though he was in the process of moving into a new home at the same time. If you are doing a project in your home that involves ductwork/sheetmetal I highly recommend Dave White Heating.
