We have had nothing but bad experiences with roofers. After the December ice storm created a major leak in our roof, fixing that leak was the LEAST of our problems. Finding a company we could trust was the biggest issue. Our home has an upper and lower roof, joined by a mansard wall, making our problem that much more difficult - the leak could have been in either of the the three areas.
We contacted two companies; both believed the problem to be on the lower roof, and both advised that they would troubleshoot with water, starting at the lowest area, and working up until water started leaking inside. Both quotes were approximately the same, and rather exorbitant. However, the first company stated they would replace the mansard wall (contrary to their initial assessment, which indicated the problem was with the lower roof). The second company agreed to do the work, then ignored our 4 follow-up calls.
We then called D'Angelo and Sons. Wes advised he was putting a 'rush' on our repair, and two days later, Joel arrived. Joel listened - he actually listened, to our observations, and then proceeded to troubleshoot the area with water. The leak showed itself when water was applied to the upper roof. Joel encouraged me to join him on the roof so I could observe the repair. After removing approximately 9 shingles, he found 2 rusty nails, the exact point of entry. He put down ice & water shield and new shingles, and finished up caulking areas the original roofer neglected to do. That night, we had over an inch of rain during a storm - - without a single drop of water inside. The cost of the repair? A quarter of the first two estimates.
I simply cannot give enough praise about Joel, D'Angelo And Sons, and the work that was done. They took what was our nightmare and turned it into an overwhelmingly pleasant and positive experience. When we have to replace the existing roof, we now have a company we can trust.

I had a great experience with D'Angelo. From my consultation with Frank, to the crew who did the work, and Jake, the project manager. They were very professional, courteous and respectful. The job was done in one day and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I had asked for a downspout from the second floor to be extended to avoid damage to the new shingles, and they took it upon themselves to fix the downspout that was ruining my front walkway, without being asked, or charged for it. I would recommend D'Angelo and Sons to any of my friends or family.

I called a handful of companies for estimates. Frank was the first one to come over and the office answered our called and emails. Some companies never showed up and others never returned our calls while another one only showed up to our front door with a full estimate without ever seeing the house but had a high pressure sales tactic.
Everyone at Dángelo & sons was professional and one of the project managers came by to talk with us about halfway through the job. The 2 leads we found their names after, Chris and Austin, were both really good keeping everyone focused and helped with the clean up after the roof was finished.
Good quality workmanship and a really nice roof. We are quite pleased with our choice and would use them again.

This job entailed new roof, Underlay everywhere, Metal drip edge at the eaves, New vents, new metal wall flashing and insulation up to R 50 in the attic. The results were fantastic. The roofers were polite, friendly and very hard workers. They are all professional in the work. So I thank Shamon, Kousat, Matt, Kyle, Nick and Tom for the roofing job well done. Then there is Dan and Jay who did the insulation. Another job well done. Jay also installed the wall flashing and fixed a problem leak I used to have. Many thanks to Jay. I called D'angelo's and they came and did a very reasonable quote on my roof. I was really impressed with the entire organization. From the crew that commenced the work forman's Austin and Chris , the project manager Jake and the salesmen frank. Very happy with the service and would recommend them to any of family or friends.
