New roof in the cold of January
We lost 25 shingles and feared bad leaks as a bad windstorm hit in early January/09.
I previously had found these guys at Cornell and on their site, I think I had learned they did winter work, which impressed me.
I had their detailed quote already on file, so I called them; got hold of Cole, who was new to me.
I liked him right off. He was a straight shooter. I respected that and he said he would drop by and have a look to see what damage may need a temporary repair. This was a big plus as who knew what was up there?
He was on time, his manner and demeanor were very positive, very much indicating we would be well served and he proceeded up on the roof, did some temporay work and then left. No charge, no talk of money changing hands. Professional: said what he would do and did it!
Said he would move the work up a few days to prevent delays, as the roof warranted it and this is what occurred.
The job took two days, special precautions with tarps were necessary as it snowed on the second day.
They got on with it, our fears re possible leaks and damage were relieved. We are very happy with a job done under conditions which most firms do not even want to operate. Cole was great to work with and did not disappoint us.
I left the colour match to them. It is even better that what we had and Cole installed an extra vent to allow for better air flow as this is what kills the shingles from underneath: heat.
If anyone needs a roof, I would recommend they speak to these men. I think you will be better for the experience.
