I paid for R-35 celluose insullation to be installed over the existing insulation. When I hired another trade to install potlights he informed me, prior to doing any work, that the celluose insulation did not look like R-30. Tropical agreed the insulation was deficient but they would not correct the problem gecause the insulation had been disturbed by another trade. Tropical said they would top up the insulation for $300 which represented an additional 33% in the contracted price.

- I triedto get a firm quote as to the volume or number of bags of celluose that I'm paying for. They would not provide that information.

Unfortunately, when insulation becomes disturbed after it is installed, it voids our warranty. However, we are happy that in the end we came to a resolution.
