I am a first time home buyer and went for an older house. I didn't know the first thing about what to look for. My sister had recently gone through this process and had Brent do the inspection. She and her boyfriend were very satisfied and recommended we have him do ours as well. He was super efficient and made sure we understood all of his findings and the importance of each. He gave us an organised report and took pictures of the entire house inside and out. This made it easy for us to make plans for renos before actually getting in there. When I receive a call where the people tell me that I've been "referred" by someone, it is very flattering. It's the utmost compliment. It even leaves me at a loss for words, all I can say is that is was nice of them to do that. If I'm not mistaken, you're the fourth or fifth home off of a chain of referrals that has passed my name down. If you think about it, Homestars is basically that, it's kind of like word of mouth advertising. Let’s be honest, when calling around, especially in certain directories, we look for who has the nicest ads. However, that doesn’t tell you if they’re good at what they do, they may just good at marketing themselves. I personally view all feedback, good or bad, to be very important.
