Clarke Basement Systems

The positive Homestars reviews sent me back to Clarke basements and I arranged to have a crack in the family room and in the crawlspace fixed. My complaint is not with the actual crack repairs as it is too early to tell but I am very disturbed over the cleanup. There were silicone and cement stains left on the carpet in the family room. In the crawlspace A large attached shelf was taken off and thrown over the items on top. There was dust all over where they worked and bits of insulation and plastic material that I began to clean up but stopped to call the company. Here is where it gets worse. After several calls and promises and waiting all day for someone who was supposed to see the mess I am very disappointed in this company's customer service. Some neighbours came in to help me clean the mess in the crawlspace ( 5' tall and fully outfitted- not your usual underground bunker) this weekend and I have had a carpet cleaner document the stains and clean up the mess. I have talked to several people at the company and in frustration I am sending in this review. As a footnote let me also say that I was charged for removal of the drywall in the family room at my request but ended up paying an additional $1480.00 to the painter to add the insulation and vapour barrier that was removed not at my request. The carpet cleaning was $150.00. I am out all this money just because of shoddy clean up. I do NOT recommend this company especially for their followup service.
