We have had no end of headaches choosing the finishes for our condo. For every option we were literally ""nickel and dimed"" to death. We ended up taking delivery with half the floors uninstalled due to the exorbitant cost of changing from one selection of engineered wood to another material of the same make. We were not consulted at all about where to install for example outlets, and when we said that we wanted them somewhere else, we had to pay $209 each to change the plans on paper. The complaints to on and on!!! Unless you are willing to accept everything ""standard"", get all desired ""changes"" in writing when you buy.
Postscript:
This is an update and upgrade of my previous review from January 2007. Many of the problems with the condo have been resolved now. Both Customer Service and Property Management have been very co-operative in allowing us to finish our unit as we desire, even though final closing has not yet occurred.

Canderel Stoneridge has always been recognized in the industry and by our purchasers for our exceptional building quality and finishes. We provide standard finishes that are considered upgrades in the industry. As with all condo builders, we provide a standard finish and anything outside the standard is considered an upgrade. Our upgrades do not make us much money but cover the administration, installation and other costs from the supplier we purchase from. Furthermore, any moving of electrical outlets or cable outlets are at a cost at no matter which builder you are buying from. In the case of this purchaser, we have gone beyond what any other builder would offer to accommodate the customization of her suite. We pride ourselves on customer service and quality and it is unfortunate that this purchaser has not recognized this but we have received enormous accolades from most of our purchasers on our buildings and quality. The results can be seen by the high resale values in all our developments.
