Replacement windows

I signed up with this company because of their apparent quality of windows and dedication towards customer satisfaction. The install took a while to happen, but when it did it was fast, professional, and courteous. The windows look good and are a big improvement. I had an issue with one of basement windows not meeting regulations, when I brought it up the company responded and we resolved the issue courteously and professionally.

Replacement windows

I signed up with this company because of their apparent quality of windows and dedication towards customer satisfaction. The install took a long time to happen, I called and reminded them I was waiting. The install was fast, professional, and courteous. The windows look good and are a big improvement. My issue is that in my basement bedroom they installed a window that does not open in a way that meets provincial regulations. I expected that a company that specializes in windows would know the laws, advise and install accordingly. Big mistake. Do not expect their people to know what the regulations are, or to advise accordingly. When I brought it up, I was told it is my problem as it was not in the contract. True, the reasons it was not in the contract was that I expected a level of professional knowledge and ability that does not exist with this company. Not only is there a bed in the room, but I had specifically mentioned that I would be looking to rent the basement out. Their window and install quality seems good, their knowledge and support of how things have to work is weak. Had I gone with the competition I would not be in the situation of paying out another $500 for something that I think should be expected of a professional installer. I have spoken with the competition and they have stated that a knowledge of prov. building code is certainly something that a customer should expect.
