Product support

Bought Samsung top loading washer and dryer set. Washer does not wash, dryer top buckled under a half basket load of laundry, and the staff at the brick will not give me any support, they avoid me like the plague whenever I walk in the store, or call them. Very poor service, I will never make another purchase from the brick again.

Loveseat and sofa

Bought couches and the Southland MaCleod location, no starter kit arrived with delivery, went to store, no kits in store, did not receive a kit in the end. Couch is like sitting on stone compared to the very well broken in floor models. Took 15 minutes to buy 4 pillows because the moron salesman didn't know the products or how to put them in the system. Their technology is from the 60's and they need to sort their crap out. No one seems to know anything, or where anything is. Poor experience. Will never shop at the Brick ever again. Oh and screw that customer service girl in the hole with a cactus for being so stupid and not offering any alternative before I walked out of the store after 15 minutes of screwing around. Useless donkey. (oh and suggesting a 20 word review would ever cover the b.s. we put up with as your customers, it doesn't quite fit either.) I will talk anyone out of buying anything at the Brick.

Samsung Top Load Washer

Bought new washer June21/15 and by Oct.13/15 it was not working .Spent over 3 hrs trying to get service dept. and no luck. Called store directly and they told me to contact the manufacturer directly that service department was to busy to deal with me. How frustrating it was and l was so upset.l had to do all the leg work The Brick was suppose to do for me.After hours on the phone trying to get some help. Talking to people from another country that could not speak English very well, l was having anxiety attacks. Who cares? Noone! Been 2 wks now and still waiting for service.

Kitchenaid microwave

I HATE BRICK. I usually don't write reviews, but I'm so mad right now. It's been 3 almost three months since I have been writing to get our microwave fixed. We bought warranty with the microwave, our microwave stopped working we took to them to fix it. The number of visits I made to the store and the warehouse.. You need patient, energy and time to deal with those ppl. Anyways they called us to pick it up and we took it home and it still wasn't working. We took it back, now I don't even know what the he** they're doing. The warranty department seems unsure of what they're doing cuz the lady told me to call the warehouse the warehouse told me to call the store and the store kept telling me to call the warranty ppl. Now I have to wait till thrusday.. To see the he** is going on, it's already been three months without a microwave.. Atleast give us a replacement. I don't know if they know how hard it is to live without a microwave. Never doing business with them again.

Warranty coverage

I will NEVER buy anything from the Brick EVER again! ! We bought a sectional bonded leather couch just over a year ago and had bought extended warranty for damage that they now won't cover. In my warranty contract it says accidental damage from punctures, rips and tears. They had a contractor come here to take pictures and are now saying they are scuff marks so it's not covered, even though when I rub my finger over it the leather is torn and you can clearly feel and see it. I paid $300 for an extended warranty that they now have decided to weasel their way out of! !

sofa - savoy

We bought a bonded leather at the Brick two weeks ago. It felt very different what the floor model in the store did. We checked the material label on the bottom of the sofa. Ours was 40% PU 60% Bonded Leather. The one in the store was 100% Bonded Leather. The store manager acted surprised. If he really was that's fine, but I'm sure people up high, who make the ultimate decisions about orders from China exactly know what is being made, what is being advertised and what is being sold!!!!

Leather Couch

Kingsway store, Vancouver. BC

Some of the worst service that I have ever experienced! Bought a couch/loveseat set in store, with a scheduled delivery date 3 weeks after purchase. Called to check on the status of the delivery, and was told that it would be arriving in early December, 9 weeks after the scheduled date.

I was told by the sales manager to drive back to the store (4 hours return trip), and he would give me a special deal on something else. Asked to speak to the store manager, and he flatly told me there was nothing they could do. Both refused to refund the shipping cost of $150, as they cannot control the companies inventory.

I have made a number of purchases at the Brick in the past, but will never again.

Furniture

In a "just in time" society ...the delivery times given by The Brick Are just unacceptable...I was not able to know of my "delivery window" until the evening before.. Between 6 and 8 p.m.. When I can go to Fedex and deliver a package and know that it will be there before 10 a.m. The next morning paying premium price...something is just not right..when I pay triple that price and am forced to take a whole day off work!! and also , I hung up the phone on your customer service line after ten minuites, forcing me to cancel my extended warranty...not even going to risk it!

Washer

Loyal customer for YEARS!!! Not anymore! Will never shop here again
2 year old Washer under EXTENDED WARRANTY broke. $$$ for extended warranty
Technician sent SEVEN times to try to repair. Customer service a nightmare to deal with. Refused to accept machine not fixable. Time and money spent on our part (staying home to let technician in....having to go to laundry mat and pay to do my laundry. There's a reason a washer is bought for a home....to avoid going to a laundry mat....and for my convenience. ) After many arguments with customer service, a replacement was approved. Not one for one.....still had to pay out of pocket. Advised there would still be 2 weeks to wait for arrival of washer.....got a call the day after saying delivery would be in a day...again we stay home to wait and end up finding out, the call was made in ERROR!!! No respect for what customers have to endure for what is OUR right. Extended warranty means nothing! Enough is enough for us in having to deal with this company!

Applying an unused warranty to future purchase

I had a customer service rep in the store tell me the date my warranty was up so I could be sure to use it. She looked it up in their system and wrote it down for me. I made a purchase by the date I was told and was later contacted to be told it was 3 days late and despite the fact their employee made the error the warranty department would not honour the credit. I have made a lot of purchases there but apparently customer service means nothing to them.
