Steve Brannan has helped me with my appliances for over 20 years (washers, dryers, fridges, dishwashers). I trust his judgement, as he always has the homeowner in mind, with respect to repair costs versus replacement versus just letting the appliance die and avoid unnecessary costs. If replacement is necessary, he will discuss the best route to take. On the phone he gives great advice, return calls promptly, and schedules a visit ASAP.
