We hired Bonavista Pools a few years back to take over the service and maintenance of our cement inground pool and hot tub. As time went on, the service got worse and worse.
The pool was leaking constantly, we had heater problems on weekends, the pool light was out, and despite requesting professional repair, nothing seemed to be able to get fixed.
The people who came to service the pool weekly were students who really didn't know much about pools at all beyond putting in chemicals. One time, a pool worker was playing basketball in the yard and another time, they left the gate open and it blew off in the wind.
As for the pool itself, the water became very murky and dark, and that's when we finally called in another pool company to assess what was going on.
A week later, we learned that despite paying for service weekly, the chemicals being put into the pool were not right as the salt system was not even working and required a new part. The heater was broken and leaking badly and required replacement, the pool light could indeed be easily fixed by a plumber, and finally, there was a large leak around the skimmer, which has now been rectified by adding glue.
If you're looking for professional service for your pool, do not call Bonavista. They took a lot of money and did the least amount of work possible.
