Improper roofing installation and rude customer service

I paid Greg and his team to install my roof. At first, the team seemed trustworthy with regards to his hand nailing and workmanship. The destroyer my Japanese maple tree, and Greg was it just a tree.

Roof was installed in July 2022. Fast forward to December 2022, and the roof is leaking! Greg shows up and my wife says its leaking all over there and to his remarks dont over exaggerate.

Greg is a very rude person who lacks customer service personally.

Company Response

So very sorry once again to Ameer and his wife.
#1. We did have an accident while doing the roofing at their home in which a broom handle struck a branch of the Japanese Maple Tree. The customer complained and we did everything to please them including to provide a visit to a specialty tree farm and had them explain the problems and resolution to the homeowners in regards to the tree. It was decided by the homeowners to receive a cash settlement.
#2. We had a call from the homeowner that there was a roof leak over the garage and arranged to attend on January 11/23. I asked Ameer and his wife to show me where the leak was and they showed me. I proceeded to inspect the area and found problems with the window sills in area above garage on both the left and right sides. i.e. cracks in mortar and took photos and came down to show the homeowners what I found and Mrs. told me the water was more on area of left wall where they said it was getting wet. I proceeded to check this area and they became very agitated. I asked them not to panic and blow this out of proportion as I would locate problem and fix if our problem.
When I checked the wall I did find dampness and informed the homeowners I would check the roof which I did and found no evidence of problem to shingles, however the caulking on the wall flashing had evidence of damage i.e. animals . We did not do wall flashing at time of new install and not part of contract. I explained to the homeowners that I would have my men come over and remove the shingles in area of question to try and locate the source of water and the homeowner said ok fine and I left.
The same day we received this statement by Ameer.
