Blinds for our whole house

After being very satisfied with the products and installation I ran into an issue with one of the blinds installed in our kitchen after about a year of use as it started to tear along the edge from rubbing due to being slightly off level. I contacted Ryan to make him aware of this and requested a warranty replacement (or fix) and had some issues with his immediate lack of responsibility and emotional response to my concerns.

However, after having a chance to digest it seems, Ryan did ultimately come back to us and make an offer to make it right taking full accountability for his solution, apologising for his earlier frustration and ultimately replaced the blind at no cost ensuring he stood behind the quality of his products and the service of his installation.

For the replacement itself, the installer that we dealt with, Georgio, came to pick up the blind and then replaced it with a brand new, perfectly matched blind within a couple of days (very quick considering this was over a weekend). Special credit to Georgio who was exceptionally pleasant to deal with, courteous about removing his shoes, smiled the whole time he was here and despite it being an uncomfortable situation still managed to make it very comfortable to work with him! Thank you Georgio, we would certainly recommend Allure after all the extra effort; you certainly made it right!

Blinds for our whole house

RUN AWAY FROM ALLURE BLINDS AND RYAN! Ryan only cares about your money and as soon as he has it he will disappear and not stand behind his faulty products. We spent over $3k on blinds with this horrible business and now we're stuck with a faulty product that looks terrible.

First, Ryan made an unfixable mistake when measuring one of our extra large windows despite us telling him multiple times that his ridiculous strategy would not work and then he proceeded to send his installation guy with the wrong blinds and then demanded that I pay him for all of the product even though he made a mistake, still owed us several blinds and hadn't completed the job yet. His explanation for why I was to pay him before the job was completed and before I received my blinds was that he "didn't have enough money to buy the correct blind without me paying him for the blinds he got wrong". Ryan then went into a 20 minute, absolutely ridiculous, rant about small business owners being taken advantage of and how hard it is to run a business and make money selling blinds. This guy is a joke, unprofessional, unreliable and super rude unless he's "selling". Don't be fooled, he is very good at telling you what you need to hear and charming you into trusting him until his products fall apart! Then good luck to you!

He also went on to tell us that we should know that houses settle when the weather changes and that if we called him he would have come to adjust the blinds. Seriously, he expected us to call him every time the house got hotter or colder to make sure the blinds are even in order to stand by the warranty!!!! What!? (If Ryan had at least taken two minutes to tell us about blinds shifting before he cashed our cheques we might have been able to get the blinds replaced by the manufacturer).

Now we're left with a faulty blind, absolutely zero help from Ryan who told me "sorry about how you feel but there is no way I'm replacing the blind because it's your fault it's tearing". Ryan: It was your guy that installed the blinds!!!!

RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...YOU WILL REGRET DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Finally, before you read whatever ridiculous response Ryan puts up to try and get out of this horrible customer service experience by making himself the victim, again, (he told me to call the BBB!) ask yourself this: Is it worth the risk doing business with this guy knowing that this is what happened to us at our home? Don't trust the reviews he's writing, it's the bad experiences that give you the real insight into who you're dealing with!

Update: Ryan has since offered to cut out the fray on the defective blind for us at no charge. I will gladly remove this review and thank him for doing the right thing should that happen and provided the blind looks good when they are finished.

UPDATE: Ryan has since offered to cut away the Fray on the blinds despite maintaining no-fault and is still refusing to replace the blind. We will move forward with his offer in hopes that this resolves our very poor service experience and corrects the issue with the defective blind. We are hopeful Ryan will make it right!
