Acorn Wood Floors

Very impressed with the quality of their work and their excellent customer service. They installed a new plywood subfloor and engineered hardwood floor in my 90 year old house. There were a few challenges with a house this age, and Ron and Alex took the time to do things right. It was refreshing to work with contractors who take pride in their work, communicate well, and charge a fair price.

We live in the US close to the BC border. Last year we had a collapsed wine rack when sent bottles onto the maple hardwood floor, damaging the wood and spilling red wine onto a nearby hall carpet. The hall carpet could not be replaced so we needed new wood flooring in the carpeted area and replacement wood for the damaged area. The original wood was made in Canada. Acorn Wood Floors were extremely helpful with all aspects of this challenge and today we arrived home with 144 sq ft of the correct grade of replacement wood that we picked up from Acorn.

From start to finish, Ron and his team at Acorn Wood Floors have been amazing. They removed the old tile in our kitchen and replaced it with top of the line hardwood, and sanded/refinished our living room floors. They were readily available for any questions we had along the way, and made our renovations as seamless as possible. Ron's attention to detail is outstanding. Our floors have been transformed and we couldn't be happier!

My family has used Acorn Wood Floors four separate times over the last 15 years on a few homes and they have completed the work in a fast and efficient manner and their rates are extremely competitive. I would recommend Acorn to anyone looking to revitalize their hardwood floors.

We wish to thank Acorn Wood Floors for a an excellent repair of our damaged brushed oak floor. Replacement boards were no longer available to match our floor. Ron visited our home and determined the
best fix was to refinish new boards to match the rest of our floor. This entailed light sanding and trial stains, followed by adding the correct topcoat sheen. A second home visit was made to select the best of four mock-ups. Many hours in the shop produced the finished boards which were installed and are the perfect match!

Thanks to Ron & his team for restoring our abused (pets, kids, bikes, roller blades !) Walnut wood floors. They did an outstanding job, on time, on budget and were very pleasant to have working in our home. We've used Acorn before and have always been very happy with their work & professionalism.

Ron and his crew sanded and restrained all of our maple hardwood in our home. It had severely yellowed over the years and had lots of stains and gouges. They did an excellent job and it looks marvelous. I am extremely happy with the service we received from start to finish. They worked with our contractor and the end result is exactly what I wanted. I researched other companies as well and found Acorn Flooring had the best customer service of any of the other companies and the price was excellent and the job was done on time. It truly was a great experience dealing with Acorn Flooring and I would highly recommend them. I am attaching a before and after picture, keeping in mind our contractor still has to put all the floor molding back but you will see the difference and it is night and day.

Floor was installed by Ron’s dad in the early 80’s and we have had them maintained by the family since we purchased the house 20 years ago. They were one of the reasons we bought the house and still look as good as new thanks to the efforts of Acorn floors. Highly recommend this company
