Finer Edge Painting & Improvements

From the time you call or email Finer Edge you feel as though you are being treated as a valued client. Within 24 hours either Bill or Gord, the owners, will call you, set up an appointment, and give you a written quote. They also give you a time line for the project and it's been my experience that they adhere closely to it. Their manager, Vince, stops by regularly, to check on the progress of the job and to answer any questions the home owner may have. Their painters arrive on time, are courteous and take pride in their work. We've used Finer Edge four times over the past twelve years and we won't use any other painting and home improvement company. We've also reommended them to family, friends and neighbours. I would highly recommend this company. From my initial contact with Bill, one of the owners. He came to give me a quote right away. From there, the work started by the date promised. Colin came by a few days ahead to coordinate the job. Then Doug oversaw everything once the painters were here. The painters themselves were polite, efficient, hard-working. At the end, Doug was back to do a walk-through to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. This entire experience was a pleasure. So often you have workers at your house and they are late, or lazy or rude. Working with Finer Edge is one of best experiences I have ever had with home improvements.

We needed our large 2-bedroom basement apartment (850 sq. ft.) repainted on very short notice. I called Finer Edge on Wednesday, received a quote on Thursday and their painters were at my house at 7:30am on Monday morning. This job was completed on very short notice and they did an excellent job! I am very happy with the quality of work and they went the extra mile to accomodate my schedule. Cost was $850 plus materials.

We needed Finer Edge to come quickly and paint 2 walls (that's it). We called on a Sunday and someone called us back within a few hours. They showed up Monday morning and were, as always, outstanding. We have used them before for larger jobs and they are always amazing. They are professional, clean, timely and the paint job is consistently outstanding. We know it was expensive for two walls, but it was worth it! We would definitely use Finer Edge again and recommend them to others.

I have been working with Finer Edge for over 20 yrs. That in itself is a tribute to their customer service and workmanship. I contacted Bill after I read an article about him in a local neighbourbood paper. He was described as honest, easy to work with and just a nice guy! All true. They always go above and beyond and they are a pleasure to work with.

Finer Edge did exactly what they were asked to do quickly and reasonably. They do all our home improvements for us. They have done jobs for us every couple of years and we are completely satisfied. They are highly recommended.

This is the fourth time we've painted the exterior of our home and the first time we've used Finer Edge. Their prep work was unbelievable and far, far better than any other painters we've ever experienced. They took their time and scraped, sanded, removed hardware (peep holes, weather stripping)and primed before painting. I am only sorry we haven't used them before as our woodwork would now be in much better condition than it is. They are very professional and started and finished on time. I highly recommend this company!
UPDATE: I have had Finer Edge back to do two interior jobs since the first time I used them and they have not disappointed me. They are consistently top notch and I would not hesitate to use or recommend them again.

This is the third time we have hired A Finer Edge painting and we've never been let down. They are the utmost of professionals in the business and they really take pride in their work.

They are quick, conscientious, and do a great job. If there is something that you want rectified, they are always very accommodating.

We felt so comfortable with them in our past two experiences, this time we left them the keys and went on a trip. When we returned, it was like our home was brand new again! Beautiful job with very little to nitpick. They were also very accommodating to fit within our schedule and (as always) got the job done on time.

My only complaint is as I recommend them to all of my friends (and they recommend them to their friends), I'm afraid one day that they'll be too busy for the next job I want them for! But so far, they have a great team and a large base of very professional painters, so this doesn't seem to be a problem...

We were pleasantly surprised to hear that they do home renovation work as well. We will definitely consider them given their stellar painting service when it comes time to finish our basement.

My husband and I will never paint again! This company is consistently excellent. They have worked in my house on several occasions and I have always been completely satisfied. Their customer service and workmanship are exceptional.
