Finer Edge Painting & Improvements

This is what one should expect.
Professionalism from the first call requesting a quote to the written quote, on-time work crew, exceptionally talented Glen and Mark who executed the project beautifully, on time, and left my house clean and in good order. All this was accomplished while calmly managing a paint mixing error by the paint store!
Yup, professionalism!

My wife and I just bought our first home. The previous homeowners had covered the kitchen and family room walls with "Venetian Plaster"... No, not the faux effect done in paint. Actual. Plaster! Horrible... At the same time, the ceilings needed repair, and so we decided we would install flat ceilings. On top of that, the whole house needed a fresh coat of paint.

Our experience with Finer Edge started with an estimate by Gord S. He took his time, made helpful suggestions, and ultimately provided us with a very reasonable estimate. In fact, one estimate we received on the same night was DOUBLE for the same work. Gord assured us that his estimate would cover the entire job. Gord conducted himself in a professional and helpful manner.

A few days before the word was scheduled to start, I received a call from Vince, the site manager, asking if I would mind if he started early. Sure!!!

The work was completed 2-3 days ahead of schedule. Every person who entered our house was courteous and professional. The crew tidied their stuff each night before they left. When the entire job was complete, they did a very thorough clean-up.

Vince came back after the job was complete to see if there were any outstanding issues. He has promised to make a few touch-ups this week based on our requests.

Overall, Finer Edge was a pleasure to deal with. Even my hard-to-please wife was very happy with their professionalism and the quality of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Finer Edge to anyone - in fact, I have already recommended them to a couple of people!

Finer Edge saved us from the horror we found under wallpaper in a 1952 home we purchased in the spring. Thanks to Anas & Doug our old house finally felt like home. They managed to repair damaged walls, paint our wooden ceilings in our entrance, hallway and one bedroom. Paint each of these rooms, as well as our living & dining rooms, including all the wooden baseboards and doors in a mere 7 days! The entire experience from start to finish was superior! We would highly recommend Finer Edge to anyone who appreciates good quality work and most importantly looking for true professional customer service.

Nick and Ennis have just completed my family room reno. What great guys, professional, knowledgeable, a joy to have around. Their work is amazing and they didn't leave until I was 100% happy with what they'd done ( I was 110%+ happy) From my first meeting with the owner Bill, meeting Luigi the foreman and then having Nick and Ennis do the work I can honestly say it was a most positive experience. When it comes time for further renovations, I will make one call and it will be to Finer Edge.

We hired Finer Edge to paint our family room, front door and spot-repair ceiling damage. From the beginning quote to final clean-up the Finer Edge people were excellent - on time, polite, meticulous workers, flexible, very tidy and professional. Ceiling repairs were extremely tricky - old plaster mouldings in one area and a very high, angled ceiling in the other area and the work was flawless. Their prep work went above and beyond. The end result was terrific.

I like the fact that they have a "team" for each project - one to give quotes & supervise the job, another to purchase the paint required in the % tints that the crazy customer is asking for, and the painters themselves. The job was finished more quickly than we anticipated. The painters arrived early and were polite and considerate.

We hired Finer Edge to completely paint our family room and kitchen (including the cupboards) as well as do some drywall repairs from a recent roof leak.The crew was amazing. They arrived on time, they were exceptionally neat and careful, and they were very personable.My cupboards look brand new and the water damage looks like it never happened.The quality of the work was terrific.This was a really positive experience.

The team showed up on time, kept me advised of progress while I was working and notified me promptly if they encountered any challenges. Even at the end when there was a problem (e.g. caulking cracked slightly) Derek the PM was there the following day to fix it himself.

All in all a very positive experience.

We have used Finer Edge 5 or 6 times for paint and stain projects from exterior trim, fences, interior windows, ceiling renovations. Several different crews have been involved and all were pleasant, fast, productive and clean ... the quality was always excellent. Starting on schedule has been a minor issue.

Finer Edge was a very professional company to deal with and completed the work as specified and on time. Both management and the painters are courteous and do an excellent job. The prices seem reasonable and while they are probably not the least expensive painters available, they earn their money. I have already recommended them to friends and neighbours and would use them again.
