I called Craig back this year to give me a quote on a minor job. He told me he would come by on the weekend. Never came or called. Showed up unannounced told me he would do the work for 225 but I had to change my Homestar rating from a 9 to a 10. I Expressed my agitation with this and the fact that he had not returned my calls and still wants a 10. I then asked if he was going to be able to do the work for sure by Tuesday or should I call someone else incase. He said ... "If I say Tuesday then for sure we will do it"... We agreed he would come Sunday or Monday. I called today to confirm that the neighbours were good too and ask if he was bonded and was told I think so and his assistant rushed me off the phone as though I was annoying her and told me he would get back to me. He calls tonight saying he is returning my call and then proceeds to tell me he would not be doing the job. I told him it leaves me high and dry now given I needed it done by Tuesday and he had given me his word and asked me to change my rating. He then tells me he had a death in the family. Despite this not adding up to me I had another friend who was looking for a tree company call and ask if he would do some work for him in the next three or four days... he replyed yes. I phoned him back to ask him why he is willing to do the work for them and not us... he said "it was sooo obvious that was my friend"..and hung up on me. Still confused I called back to ask him why he was doing this.. he said to "bug my ass" I emailed him and called again to find out why but wouldn't respond so I can only assume he was not happy with my concerns about his wanting a 10 when he wouldn't even return my calls. Unfortuneately I am now left without a person to do the last minute work and will definitely be warning my friends about this one.
