After interviewing a number of other contractors we found on homestars we selected M3X. During the estimate we found Mike likable and were struck by how straightforward he was when talking about what was and was not possible. When the quote arrived we enjoyed Mike’s all in pricing. Other companies quoted us one number and only on careful review of the fine print we found the the things we asked for were thousands extra. It took a couple of phone calls for us to believe that “The price is the price.” Mike was clear that unless we changed stuff or there was termites, mold or asbestos the price would be what was quoted. He remained true to his quote. We told Mike we wanted to start soon and he was able to accomodate us within a week or so. One of the first things that struck us was how clean Mike and Eric left our house. They would vacuum the stairs after each day of demo. Throughout the project Mike communicated well with us. Mike also managed to work with our crazy family schedule, accommodating night shifts and the demands of two kids. He dealt well with our large dog and our dog loved him. We used challenging materials (hex tiles, large format shower floor tiles and a linear drain) and Mike was able to install with great attention to detail. The job was substantially completed in two and a half weeks as promised, although we did have to wait for a custom door to arrive. Mike’s work was solid and he dealt really well with our pickiness. He worked really hard to fix any minor deficit we found. We would definitely use Mike for our next reno. If you are looking for straightforward communication, a great finished product and a trustworthy person who can deal with your wife’s neurotic attention to detail, then Mike is your guy!
