Quality Service: Rizzo is the owner of a company that was started over 10 years ago. He is not operating out of the back of his pickup truck. Rizzo is truthful and completes construction to the highest of quality. He is personally vested in the job and if he is not working on site he will come to the jobsite at end of day or completion of major milestones to ensure everything is up to par. The objectivity of Rizzo and the position in the company allows him to uphold these standards. Dedicated team: Rizzo has a team he has been working with for years. Unlike others in the industry, Rizzo has a team that is ready to show up and complete a job. What this means for you as a customer is that you will have a schedule that you can rely on. If delays do occur, due to supply or controls outside of their control (COVID restrictions) these will be communicated accordingly. Problem Solver: We had a unique situation. We had to fire the contractor that started this job. Picking up a project that someone else had started is not easy. Picking up a project that someone had done with many imperfections- even harder. Rizzo was kind enough to take on the challenge of picking up a project with many imperfections. Rizzo was able to complete the job improvising along the way – this was only possible because of his years of experience and dedication to his craft. Overall, Rizzo is a genuinely nice human being who goes above and beyond. I write that because his character is reflected in the company, his team and the finished product. He’s in this business for the long term and I’m excited to see his company grow as they help more families complete their renovation projects. I’m very glad we were able to find Rizzo to help finish our basement.

Company Response

Thank you Anthony for taking time to write this review. There are lots of good contractors in market but unfortunately; there are bunch of cowboys as well and some how you end up choosing one.
I am very happy that I was able to help you. Good luck renting your basement.
best regards,
Rizzo

Why you should not hire him: - The contract outlined the job would be done in 6 weeks. I fired him after 6 months!!! The job was incomplete and I was getting tired of his excuses. - He works by himself and as a result cannot stick to timelines - He cannot frame a wall straight - my basement has crooked and bent walls. (1 example included below with blue ruler) - Kitchen cabinets were not aligned with the stove - doesn't know how to measure properly. ( see off centered stove fan) - When he taped my windows ( see picture), there was already moisture coming inside the house. - When he cut cement for windows, the dust filled the two storey house - see pictures of my furnace filter and the dust in a bedroom. - Flooring was rushed, resulting in different areas being pulled out and re floored. - Tiles in the washroom are not flush - Door framing was slanted and needed to be redone. - He does not have money. He asked to take money from the job to get his truck out of the shop. Don't use him. Avoid the headache my family had to deal with. Sam, take up a job at Leon's you're a great Salesman and an awful contractor.
