THEY COMPLETELY SCREWED UP MY MOVE AND I HAD TO GET ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY TO DO WHAT THEY COULD NOT! HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED. After putting my belongings in their trucks to move me from one condo to another in downtown Toronto (the condos are a 5 minute drive apart), they disappeared for 2.5 hours and arrived at the new place, leaving themselves after setting up the service elevator JUST 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE CUTOFF TIME TO MOVE ME INTO THE NEW PLACE! The crew leader yelled at me because the 'elevators were slow' and 'I should have told them that'. I think they should have checked ahead but regardless, no one can can move two trucks up a service elevator in 45 minutes. They told me that I WOULD HAVE TO MAKE MY OWN ARRANGEMENTS TO STORE MY OWN BELONGINGS THAT EVENING or they would KEEP MY BELONGING FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS supposedly their next available time to move my stuff. It was really difficult to find and arrange storage at that time of day but I managed to find a place in east Toronto. The next day I hired a different moving company to get me into my new place. They showed up ahead of time and moved me into the new place under exactly the same elevator conditions and from further away. I had to pay for two moves! What a waste of money and time using Augusta Movers. The owner has taken no responsibility nor has he apologised for their incompetence. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Thank you for your feedback Mr Patrick. As a moving company, being reviewed and rated online is extremely hard to avoid pointing fingers and debating all of the issues mentioned. We are very proud of the work that we do and more importantly of the people that do it. Therefore, it’s also easy for us to get defensive, but we won’t. Fortunately, due to the hard work of everyone on our team, we don't face the strenuous task of responding to negative reviews too often if at all as proven by our track record and our corporate values. Without trying to defend ourselves on each issue you mentioned Im going to try to provide a quick overview of the situation.
Your move was estimated for 8.75hrs and it took our men 10hrs to complete. Industry suggests estimates should not exceed 10%-12% of the estimated cost and we definitely fit in that mark.
Unfortunately elevator bookings or restrictions are out of our control and there is not much we can do there to change that especially when no information was provided prior to the move.
We offered you to store your items in our warehouse free of charge and redeliver in few days. Your decision was to go with another storage facility and a different moving company. We respected your decision and even offered to keep our blankets on your furniture free of charge until your belongings get delivered to you.
As an act of courtesy we even offered you a compensation of 2 hrs at your hourly rate. At the time all seemed OK.
It is unfortunate that you now feel that your experience with our company was a negative one! :(
