I wish my story could be better, but Samson's lack of support and rudeness in this matter - passing the phone to Tina who repeatedly shrieked "why are you calling us?!" - compells me to let potential customers know ... An incorrect diagnosis , leading to the purchase of an unecessary part, left me in the hole for approx. $250. (A friend took a quick look at the washer, plugged in a loose wire, and it's been running eautifully since.) Asking for some help in how to unload this part - thinking Samson would be able to suggest through his connections - my calls were first ignored, then I ended up with the above treatment from Tina. I am not an unreasonable person, and am very sympathetic to independant business people, but cannot let this level of unprofessionalism go un-noted.

Approximate cost of services:
$250.00

Company Response

First of all a very special “Thank You” from Samson and Tinna to all our loyal customers who appreciate our efforts and have written a nice review to help build us up and make the world a better place!

Sorry we don’t have time to personally reply to each and everyone who gave us a nice review, reasons being we hardly even get time to eat and sleep like normal people as we try hard to make everyone happy with our services. :)

For those of you who don’t yet know who we are… Let’s set the record straight on this bad review as we shed a bit of light and facts about what happened… sorry it’s kind of a long story but if you want to know the truth before trying our service of appliance repairs then you just might like to know our side before believing we would purposely do something bad to anyone that would cost them more then they need to pay.

Please read on…

We did go and spend two hours diagnosing this front-loading washer with “the spinning problem”. We removed the spinner board and checked it and traced ALL the wires in the unit from top to bottom

[Hence the taking two hours to complete this tedious diagnosing.]

After nothing obvious was found we ran the washer and physically moved each connection trying to find the problem, nothing could be found.

Leading to our final suggestions and opinions about what to do…
A. Try replacing the spinner Circuit Board (I gave a recommendation where to buy the new board from and expected to be called back to finish the job if this were to be the choice of action and quoted her only $40. for our return to install the new board.)

or

B. Replace the whole washing machine; whichever is more affordable in the long term.

At this point we only charged her $50.00 for spending the 2 hours of our time doing this wire tracing with our voltage meter and other equipment. We do take our job very seriously and do our personal best for everyone. Perhaps we undercharged for our time and efforts that particular day.

What Happened After That…
The Customer Calls me back after 3~4 weeks very upset and tells me that she had ordered the board from the internet because it was cheaper and had someone else install it… however they found a loose connection and the machine works 100% now and she don’t want the board that cost her around $200 and expects me to buy it from her or refund the $50 for my two hours of work accusing me of “wrong diagnosing” and being very demanding using a very bad tone of voice over the phone on three different occasions and on different days.

I was also upset after I heard this news because of several reasons…
First of all I know and my wife knows also because she sat there for two hours watching me and helping yet we could not find any bad connections.

Next is the Shock that she did not even allow me to finish a job that I started. In the Professional world of business there is a certain code of ethics in which once a contractor/ worker has accepted a job and has it half done they should be allowed to complete the job… It would of only cost her $40 more for us to go back and finish the job. How can I know what happened inside that machine if another person opens it and works inside?

I tried to explain that if she had of bought the circuit spinner board from my supplier perhaps I could per-sway them to take it back if in fact there truly was no need for it. Also that if I were allowed to finish my work and seen with my own eyes that I had been wrong about the diagnosis then for sure I would give some sort of discount from our Labor fee even tough we spend more then enough time there. She clearly did not understand me and started to shout at me while I was driving using my hands free device and everyone on the street could hear her!

I gave the call to my wife because it was distracting my driving and my wife told her that if she thinks we are so “un-professional” then “why do you keep calling us”. This lady don’t stop talking to listen for our response so my wife had to repeat it several times to be sure that she could hear what she was saying… the lady told her that “she would handle it on her own” and “hung up” on my wife, very rude of her in my opinion and very wrong of her to expect us to work for free. Now she is trying to ruin our perfect record of nice reviews and take away the work from our future in hopes to destroy our business I can only assume.

If we could afford to do work for free and still keep food on our table then we would offer free service calls all year around, however life is not like this and we all need to make money to survive. I feel that we earned the $50 and don’t owe her anything, what would you do if you were in my situation? If you Believe that I should return her $50 and allow her to manipulate us after she would not allow us to even complete the job then send us a text message at 647-637-4220 or e-mail us at appliancehealer@gmail.com with your reasons why we should help her after all this trouble she is putting us threw and we will carefully consider the reasons and perhaps even give her a refund when we can afford to do so if ever.

Thank you for taking the time and interest in our local business.

Have a nice day everyone and keep smiling :)

Sincerely Samson & Tinna… Appliance Healer: 647-637-4220
