Staircase Reno in Erin

We hired Jerry to replace our old floors and install new hardwood throughout out ground floor. Six months after installation, our floors started separating. Jerry's guy came out to look and then we were informed by Jerry he offers no warranty. Also be careful as the price he charges you will be more than what he quotes you! His explanation is the "extras" not mentioned originally. Extra nails, extra moldings, paint of moldings, etc. Our long awaited renovation has turned into a nightmare for us as we now need to pay someone to fix our floors!

After agreeing to a spindle and railing renovation with Brian, we paid him the 50% cash deposit he asked for. However, after seeing the spindles he was providing to us for the price, we tried to cancel the project. Brian refused to refund most of our money even though the spindle manufacturer was offering 100% refunds. Brian told us "he needed to cover his costs". So much for the "free" estimate, he took our money for nothing!
