Excellent service, great work, fair pricing, and we were really impressed with the customer service from start to finish. Thank you Moe and your team for making the service easy for our house to have our lights replaced, updated, and lighting our house properly! I would highly recommend Quality Potlight for any of your home lighting needs.

Company Response

Hi Ian,

Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate it!

In the spring of 2009 we had a flood in our basement along the northwest side of our home. After interviewing several companies we hired Nick and the Heritage Construction Group Ltd to re-do the foundation on the northwest side of our home, as well as to install interlocking brick along the front and side of our home. We paid a very large sum for this service totalling close to $13,000. We were therefore shocked to discover we had a wet basement in the exact same location on February 28, 2011 (as well as on March 5, 2011). The company our insurance providers sent out to our home on March 1, 2011 confirmed our worst fears - the foundation was done incorrectly, and also, the interlocking brick was done facing toward the home rather than away from the home. I contacted Heritage Construction Group repeatedly, and the owner finally responded with an email stating our contract stated a 1-year warranty. They didn't return our phone calls until a week after constantly leaving voice messages and e-mails. They came out to the house for approximately 5-minutes and asked us to call the next time there was a major rain to access and witness the situation. However, the next time there was a major rain, they did not pick-up their phones, return our 10+ voice message, or ever return again. The only way were able to get a response was when we wrote a complaint through the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Their response was that this wouldn't of happened if we have repaired the entire foundation. My thoughts are...if they were unable to repair what was needed to be fixed, why would this change the fact that they were unable to fix the foundation that needed to be fixed?!?! Heritage Construction Group's website indicates that their work is covered by a 2-year warranty. I believe that, irrespective of this, Heritage Construction Group took our $13,000, dug a hole, and then filled it without ever re-doing the foundation. If the foundation and interlocking brick had been done correctly in the first place, our house would have remained dry, especially considering the only area they touched was the only area we had a flood. Plus, the majority of companies in the industry carry a 15-20 year warranty on the same "partial" foundation repairs. Also, we had other companies access their work, and the list of items that were supposidly done, did not show so we certainly are very disappointed in hearing this from true industry experts. We highly recommend that you do NOT use Heritage Construction Group for any work as they are dishonest, and do not fulfill their job required. The only reason we choose HCG was our neighbour recommended them. Now they too are having issues with the work done, and Nick and the HCG are not returning their calls either.
