Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

We've used Long Life twice to replace windows on our 102-year old character home. Both times we've been very happy with the service and the installation. Kris is highly personable, reliable, prompt, and responsive. He quickly addressed any questions or concerns we had both prior and post installation. Rick, the lead installer, did an excellent job. He is a conscientious craftsman. The windows are high quality and have increased the value of our home. We would use LongLife again.

Although the crew who did the work did a satisfactory job of the moss removal, the owner was very difficult to get hold of and was abrasive on the phone when we did reach him. We had to call him a few times to get follow up questions answered. We would have wanted them to do more work; however, the owner didn't return our calls and we gave up.

Phoenix was very professional throughout all stages of the asbestos removal process. Mike Shuttleworth was the only estimator (out of six from other companies) who showed up with a proper tool for measuring the accurate square footage of the attic. His quote was firm and accurately reflected the job required. Phoenix used a Vec Loader (a giant vacuum) that sits outside the house. The job was professionally completed and the guys were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. There was no collateral damage to existing plaster or mouldings, as can be the case with old houses. Moreover, they completed the job on time. I would not hesitate to recommend this company again. Because of the Vec Loader (versus the crew shovelling the asbestos manually), the job was considered of "medium risk", not high risk. Thus, the health risks were less for crew and for our family.
