We have been having a problem with mice getting into our house, specifically our kitchen and living areas. After reading good reviews about Reliable Pest Control through this website, we contacted Reliable in December 2007. They sent a technician around within 2 days, who, at a cost of $200, laid 9 bait stations in the various rooms where we have seen evidence of mice. As per their instructions, we had them come back within two weeks for a follow-up visit, which was included in the initial fee. We did see a drop in mice within those two weeks. Unfortunately, 3 months later, we seem to be getting more mice back again, this time there seemed to be more of them. Since Reliable has a guarantee of one year, we called them again to deal with this new mice problem. The same technician came back in April and once again, re-baited the traps. It did not seem to make any difference. Mice were still running around 2 weeks later. Once again, we called Reliable and once again, they returned, free of charge, in May, and re-baited the stations. Once again, it did not seem to have any effect on the mice as we still had at least 7 or 8 of them running around. I called Reliable and spoke with John, who assured me that the bait works. He suggested I call back within two more weeks. After two weeks, it was evident that there were still as many mice around as ever and that the bait was not doing anything. Rather than call Reliable back, I decided to trap the mice myself and got all of them within two days. I don't hold anything against Reliable - they were all very nice and professional to deal with. The bait they used had little effect on the mice so I wish I did not pay $200 for bait that was not effective.
