Dave and his crew did an excellent job. We contacted Dave to give us a quote on a new house we purchased after he did some minor work for us at our old house. He came out the next day and reviewed all work that I wanted to have done to the house. He made some recommendations that turned out really well and are a lot more functional then what I wanted to do. I had 4 contractors go though the house and give me quotes, one of them quoted me 30k for the work when everyone else was anywhere from 75-100k. After reviewing all the information we decided to go with Dave, he was not the cheapest option however he seemed the most reasonable, as he told us exactly what his price included, time lines, and what he needed from us and when for the work to move forward. He also set all the expectations as far as payment is concerned right from the start and when the payments are to be made. The last payment he told us was to be made after all work was done by him. This is something that we really respected as we hard some horror stories on TV and newspapers about this. When Dave and his guys showed up there were extremely professional in the way they did all the work. It took 3 months to have it all done which was right there as far as the timing of the project from the beginning. He also made some great recommendations to us on stores to shop at for appliances and gave us some decorative ideas. We will be definitely hiring Dave, for our next project and we do recommend for anyone doing a renovation of any type to speak with him.

I was recommended this company by a friend of mine, how has used them in the past. I have called to arrange for them to come out and take a look at the house I was about to purchase with me there. They agreed to do that, Ken who was the person who was there with me walked me though the house and pointed out some of the things that might have been as issue. (i.e. older furnace, older windows) These were things that I was aware of purchasing the house. After walking though the house he said these were the only issues, however I spotted some mold next to the back wall of my house. Upon further investigation by ME, we discovered there was a rotten floor joice that needed to be replaced. The home inspector did not find it. He also said there was no electrical issues however once we took possession of the house we discovered a electrical nightmare. Plumbing was also not as issue, however non of the sinks had traps on them which apparently they all needed to have. Upon further conversations with Pillar to Post we discovered that this particular inspector worked an a Canadian retail store prior to becoming a home inspector. He had no background in construction other then the course he took at a college. When I brought up my concerns to the company I was told that the inspection is only visual and they did their job. I also discovered some more issues with the house (roof needed to be replaced, skylights needed to be replaced) I was told they were all new, which they were however even need things if not installed correctly will have issues. After contacting the home inspector again I was told that their opinion is just that an opinion and they are not the experts thus their opinion is not valid in court. I would strongly recommend to everyone after my experience to ask the home inspector if he/she have construction background, and how qualified they really are. As for me I’m never doing another home inspection in my life, unless I’m brining my builder with me which now I know really well.

I recently had a issue with a leak in the bathroom and I decided to call Dave from Home Care Renovation. He came out in a timely matter (next day) took a look the not only the problem that was at hand but also some of the other issues that I will have in the future. My house had some issues that were hidden (leaks in the wall, from previous owner that were growing mould) He did all of this at no addition cost and fixed it all up quickly and at a reasonable price. I have dealt with home renovators before and he is one that is honest, timely and really friendly
