I hired New Era (Gabriel Eichler) to do my custom frameless shower door after retreiving quotes from others. He was referred to me and the price was reasonable. This was a custom job, and required special measurements due to unlevel shower jambs and because it was meant to be a steam shower, required seals on the door and the transom. Without explaining all the details, the finished product was absolutely appaling. Not only did he not finish the job by providing the needed seals, he did not measure properly and therefore used frames, which I did not want and actually went as far as to a peice of wood, which he tried to conceal with caulking in order to "level" out the glass. The glass actually had little chips out of it, and if that weren't enough, the caulking job looked like it was done by a 4 year old. I have been trying to contact (e-mail, phone and fax) this guy for 2 months now, and I would be willing to pay for the glass to be re-cut properly if he would come and take the bad out and redo it, but he will not return calls. He still at least owes me the seals. I cannot even use the regular shower without them. Hopefully he will see this review and realise that I am serious and he should do the right thing.

Had a nightmare of a time with a bathroom reno and the tiling contractor kept screwing up cuts. Acme was very understanding and extremely helpful as I kept returning to them for the same pieces. Great people and super friendly service, and awesome dogs!
