Euro Choice Windows and Doors that use to be called Aloplast Duke Windows and Doors ate my $600 deposit for the windows I wanted that they never installed. Their estimate was free and they agreed to Brick-to-Brick and used my internet to contact their boss for pictures of the window. They faked a BBB logo. They never mentioned the 10 day cancellation policy in the contract. They wrote up my estimate for Brick-to-Brick windows and sent the installer for measurements after the 10 days. Then all of a sudden the boss Dube visits and rudely tells me they had the contract for retrofit and show me a fake version of the contract with extra added red writing of retrofit. My contract doesn't mention retrofit. I agreed to full two windows with 4mm vinyl upvc, color white inside, 5p8 outside, and aluminum capping in the contract. They want to do half the windows, no color selection, no aluminum capping and that too for more money. I tell them that I didn't agree to this and to give me my deposit back. They say they will and ignore my calls for multiple days. Upon reading Homestars.com I notice other customers also had a bad experience. Despite this, I try to amicably resolve my complaint in BBB and send a cancellation notice. BBB only decides to alert people that they are claiming to be BBB Accredited when they are not and say they can't force them to do anything. My contract clearly mentioned unless otherwise noted it is Brick-to-Brick install. Also 4mm vinyl upvc, color white inside, 5p8 outside and aluminum capping was clearly mentioned. They could have straightened this matter out nicely and easily. They could have been honest and upfront that the rep. did a mistake of agreeing to what he couldn't in the agreement and given my deposit back. But they wanted to ignore and make an issue out of it. I would like consumers to beware and be sure everything is verified in their contracts before agreeing to a contract by Euro Choice Windows and Doors. Also remember the 10 day cancel if anything seems wrong. Also it is better if possible to try a different more professional company that is honest with their commitments.
