We contacted several contractors for our basement renovation project. This project was turning a 1970's bar in a walk-out basement into a suite with a shower. Several contractors turned down the project for various reasons, but Darwin expressed genuine concern for our budget and needs in our renovation. He consistently communicated with us throughout the project and let us know when there were options to upgrade or stay with the originally quoted prices. All of his employees were excellent to work with and they were all responsive to our requests and concerns. They finished the project as close to the estimated completion date as possible. Asbestos was found so that threw off the completion date by a week and budget by $6000 for proper removal. The only thing that I would have liked to have seen done is a bit more attention to the finishing details like pencil marks on walls, flooring and edging cuts were a bit off and some overspray from painting. Overall, we were very satisfied with the job that was done and have been using the space for the past 8 months and love it.

We are extremely happy with all aspects of service from Old West. Other competitor quotes were very close in price and some lower, but we went with them again because of the excellent experience we had when they installed our front door 2 years ago. This project was installing our walk-out basement door. Their work was completed on time and budget, they cleaned up after the install and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to saving up some money so we can have them back for a few more projects!

Scott came to our house to check out an electrical issue that we could not figure out. I called him later in the evening about this problem, he promptly came to our home and quickly figured out the problem. I have since recommended his services to our friend who is also pleased with his work ethic and honesty.

Technician came to our house to evaluate an outside drain that was blocked up. He was on time, efficient, personable and offered other tips on how to keep our HVAC system operating better. Will definitely call if we need any help with these issues again!

We new that we needed our ducts cleaned out before taking possession of the home due to a large amount of animals that once lived here, the lack of cleaning, and my allergies. After the flooring was installed, Alberta Furnace Cleaning came in to remove the debris. We needed this service more than we realized after finding out that the vacuflow was 200% full (read: 2 canisters worth of pet hair and dirt), and the system on the truck was clogged at least 3 times. We felt so much better knowing that our vacuflow was decontaminated, the chimney was free of creosote, and the ducts and furnace were ready to handle the increased demands of winter. Thanks so much!

After going to several flooring companies around town, unsatisfied with the customer service, I came across Deerfoot Carpet. Paul G. was just who I had been looking for to help me determine which products we needed that fit into our budget. The installers were just as professional and did an exceptional job, even on curved stairs and installing a new subfloor in some areas for the vinyl flooring. We are just as happy one year later with the products as we were the first day. Thanks!

Greg did a lot of plumbing repair work on our home when we took possession 1 year ago. Additionally, he hooked up our dishwasher and installed a gas line for our new gas stove. His prices are very fair and I would recommend him to ANYONE.

WE bought fridge, stove and D/W and have had the fridge repaired twice in one year. Their customer service experience is bad including losing the record of our purchase. Took the fridge away for repair and said it would be a week and they kept it for 3 weeks. Gave us a loaner fridge.
