It took us four years in the bed and breakfast business to solve our biggest headache: cleaning staff. We had several, but always, no matter how good they were, just when you think you've got that issue under control, they quit. It's only human nature. People change. But then, it fell on us to start all over, searching, interviewing, and - oh god not again - training. A bed and breakfast is more than a home, and different from any other business. It must be clinically clean, everywhere. Each drawer must be checked, bar fridges emptied, beds made properly. The cleaner must work around guests, and be scrupulously honest. THEN, four years ago, we met Maret, and we've never had a single worry, disappointment, or concern since that day. Once or twice a week, as we require, there's Maret or her staff - or both - and I know that a few hours later, everything will sparkle. Maret personally trains any new staff to our standards, and does the cleaning herself occassionally to ensure her standards are consistantly being met. Her staff are always cheerful, intellegent and presentable people that we are proud to have associated with our business. I have often said, "If having a B&B is justification for keeping Maret's Quality Home Cleaning Service in our life, then we'll run a B&B forever!"
