Do NOT do business with this company. We contacted Quantum Geothermal 3 years ago to replace the aging heat pump on our open loop ground source geothermal system. Brian recommended the ClimateMaster TE-027 (6 ton) heat pump, which we hired Quantum Geothermal to supply and install. Within weeks of installation, we began to experience problems with this unit, and have had to contend with a litany of issues since. The system has failed to provide reliable heat and cooling, and has cost us thousands in repairs ($6000 this year alone). Quantum Geothermal relies on subcontractors for installation work, and does not stand behind the work that they perform. Any requests we have put to the company for answers or assistance have been met with apathy and idle statements about being surprised to hear of our problems. Indeed, the only “assistance” the company has been willing to provide to date is to recommend that we find a local contractor for service. Alas, the subcontractor that installed our unit, Niagara Geothermal Energy Solutions, has refused to provide follow-up service on grounds that we are located outside of their service area. If you are in the market for a new geothermal heat pump, I would strenuously recommend that you avoid Quantum Geothermal and take your business elsewhere.
