Eclipse shutters for whole house
We contacted Flavio beginning of Feb of 2011 and by end of Feb we made up my mind to hire him to do the job. Flavio seemed like a nice honest guy. Doug, Flavio's installer came to measure our windows shortly and ordered it after. It took a tad bit longer than expected to come in but that was ok. On day of install Doug installed but didn't want to answer any of the questions/concerns we had. 3 of the shutters didn't fit right and was dragging on the window ledge. We've asked him why it would do that and he insisted it was because we didn't use the magnets and wanted the tracks instead. It was difficult to explain to him so we said why don't you walk upstairs with us so we can show you. He refused and said call Flavio. Which we did while he cleared out the boxes back to his car. As we were trying to contact Flavio, Doug shouted up ok I'm done here and I'm leaving. Since we haven't paid him the rest of the money I wasn't too concern with him leaving. Flavio returned our call and said he will drop by to see what is wrong. When he came and we showed him what was wrong he got a bit upset at how Doug didn't fix this problem as it was an easy fix for one of the windows. As for the other two we might have to change to magnets if adjusting doesn't fit or we might have to cut the shutter down. Either way Flavio's customer service at that time was great and reassured us that he will make us happy. OK so here is where it got nasty. Doug called to schedule an appointment to come fix the shutters but he was fairly rude and made comments such as how we are not accommodating on time and inconsiderate. We stated clearly we don't want to have to take time off work to do this and our weekends are available. We had a hunch he wanted to do this quickly since we haven't paid the rest of the money yet. He sched an appointment with us and showed up but he wasn't happy to be there which I can understand as who wants to redo their work but it is very unprofessional to show us that. He proceeded to our master bed and dumped his tools on our bed. His drill was dusty so he was asked nicely if he mind putting his tool on the floor instead. He shot back with a comment saying is there anything else I'm doing wrong? It was truly uncomfortable the whole time as he would be saying oh I will never be home and how its so late. He installed magnet for one shutter but it was not flush to the shutter and hitting on the window stil panel but he didn't want to look at it after he was done. At the end he did redo that part since we insist he take a look at it and he did drill the magnet so it was flush to the shutter. Overall we were very upset at the service we got so we contacted Flavio to complain. He said he will talk to Doug about it and get back to us. That was march 23 and it is now May 11. Still have not heard from him as of today.

Hi Amy, I would like to apologize as I agree that Doug was very rude during your whole install. Your also correct that I did not contact you to follow up. My company has ZERO tolerance for lack of customer service and rudeness. Doug had some major person issues during that time but is not an excuse at all. Your job was the last install that Doug has done for this company. He was terminated the next week. As you can notice from all my other reviews that my installer and myself generally have immaculate customer service from start to end of all jobs. I am deeply sorry to you and your husband for this Amy. Please let me know via email or call me to see what I may do to compensate this bad taste in your mouth.
