Off to a good start ----- Garnet arrived at the early end of the time frame window he had given me, which was also within 18 hours of my initial call. He was friendly, polite and happy. Then he promptly identified the problem, showed me what it was, and fixed it. His reassurances about the likelihood of my already old washer/dryer lasting several more years were welcome and credible. On his way out, I threw out a question about my dishwasher which had not been performing up to snuff. He promptly took a look, cleaned it out, showed me how to do it myself, and didn't charge me for the additional time. I had previously hired one guy who comes highly recommended on this site. While he was also prompt, and very competent, I paid him nearly twice as much for a problem that took not more than 2 minutes for him to resolve. Garnet has secured my loyalty. I will call him any time I have an issue with appliances, and will happily recommend him to everyone I know.

John Dugas does beautiful work. A skilled craftsmen, he made a dining room lamp for me more than 20 years ago that is a work of art. Since then, he has repaired and restored leaded glass windows in my Annex home, and done the glass for a new pair of french doors. He is a pleasure to deal with - creative, and completely reliable. I think his rates are reasonable for the quality of work he does, and I will certainly use him any time I have work to be done with glass. I highly recommend his business.

Oriel has done renos for me in 1986, 1990, 1993, 2000 and 2006 in 4 different houses. I have always found the principal to be reliable, responsive and fair. The skilled crew is pleasant and concientious - they show up on time, work a full day and clean up. I have happily recommended this company to several people, and will continue to do so.
