Since I posted this review, Jarrod has contacted me and made changes to his process in order to contact his customers, one month after services rendered, to ensure their satisfaction. I'm still not sold on the effectiveness of the bait stations versus the Predators traps, but perhaps I would have had better success if the stations had remained full. And it may have been joint effectiveness. Regardless, with plugging the leaks where the mice were sneaking in, and the bait and traps, my house has now been rodent free for 5 weeks. What a nightmare! Despite reservations due to a lack of communication from Jarrod , I hired Spartan in August 2016 because of the excellent reviews of the company. Jarrod is very knowledgeable and personable. He left me with confidence in his bait stations and his services. After the mice ate all the bait in two of the stations, as instructed, I emailed Jarrod and he was by the next day to fill them. On October 10, I still had mice in my house and I had another 2 empty bait stations. Again, as instructed, I emailed Jarrod to come and fill them and I also asked his opinion about more aggressive measures. To this day, I have not had a response from Jarrod. I have now resorted to the age old method of snap traps to kill the mice. The Predator brand are lethal. I have caught 6 mice in a week and finally feel like I'm getting the problem under control.

Hi Heather,
At Spartan Pest Control we take great pride on being able to provide quality pest control to Calgarians for over several years now. We have had over 3000 customers and unfortuently the truth is you just cant make everyone happy regardless of much much effort, care, and passion you put into your customers experience. This is something I have learned recently and had to accept, but also come to respect.
We contacted this client immediately after hearing their lack of confidence in our treatment and offered to come out that day while providing an additional 3 months guarantee. The client declined, but understood our efforts to rectify the issue.
If the common snap trap always worked, then there would be no need for commercial grade rodenticides. Some homeowners believe they do but in fact are meant to be a tool to monitor for activity not to completely fix it. Snap Traps really just provide a competing food source with our poison if the rodent takes the food off the trap without setting it off. This ultimately causes the initial treatment to be non-effective and allows the infestation to continue.
Any pest control provider can purchase commerciale grade poison but its about educating the customer and clients while having them follow guided rules set in place that truly makes the treatment successful. This is where Spartan Pest Control sets ourselves apart from our competition and why we will continue to provide quality pest control services for years to come.
Thank you.
Jarrod
