Mike and his team were great, they did exactly what I hoped for after reading all of the good reviews on HomeStars. I needed a very large dead tree and smaller tree to be removed from the backyard. Mike came by for a quote the same day I called in. He explained what would be done and the pricing options, which were reasonable. In the yard, there is a steep hill, so when Mike came by with his team to cut the trees, there was snow on the ground which made it very slippery and therefore dangerous for his crew. Mike asked if he could come back another day when there wasn't any snow on the ground. I also noticed this and completely agreed with him. Mike then called a few days later and arranged a day with better weather. He came with his crew and cut the trees very quickly. He was able to figure out the best way to cut the large tree so that he wouldn't need access to our neighbour's yard, as originally thought, which made life easier for my neighbour. All the small branches were shredded in their wood chipper machine, while the trunks were cut into smaller pieces that we chose to keep. After seeing the work of a few tree cutting companies in my neighbourhood this summer, I just wasn't happy and decided to check on HomeStars instead of using the my neighbours recommendations. I'm so glad I found Forestwood here because they are a professional company that uses the right tools and experience, and they obviously care about the safety of their crew. Also, I just received a Christmas card from them, which is a nice treat. Keep doing quality work and you'll keep getting customers, I'll definitely recommend Forestwood. This seems pretty obvious but a lot of companies out there just don't get it.

For customer service when purchasing, I rate it a 10. They have a lot of selection for lighting and while browsing, I spoke with 3 different people (Cathy Dorey, Denise Veiga, and Karan), who were all very helpful. All of them answered my questions and weren't pushy when it came to purchasing. There are not many stores where this type of customer service still exists.
