In September 2019, I entered into a contract with Oscar, the owner of Andina Homes to renovate a two storey house into 3 separate apartment units. The promised completion date was end of October 2019. The project started failing behind, and when I confronted Oscar from December 2019 to March 2020, he continued neglecting the project. At this point, I paid over 90% of the project price. I finally ran out of patient and terminated the contract agreement. I am now filling a formal court case with Oscar for taking 90% of the money but completing less than 40% of the project. I'm still now finding defects on his workmanship such as dodgy plumbing, missing wall insulation, etc. I know it's common practice for these builders to set up a new company once they commit fraud or deceive a client, so please beware!
