We hired Metalex to install a security storm door. Their products are high quality and the service is superb. Not only did they do a great job installing a security storm door but they also corrected the installation error of a different company that installed our regular door incorrectly. These doors are excellent. In the summer we leave our front door open and just have the security storm door closed and locked and it creates a cooling breeze throughout our house. No need to run the a/c (except during humid heat waves) at night in the summer, so we saved $$ on our hydro bill.

We got a new door installed by this company in 2008. The salesperson was very good and knowledgeable and--most importantly--no pressure. Unfortunately from there on, it went downhill. The installers (subcontractors?) were friendly and prompt, however the installation of the door was done incorrectly. It was not square being 1/4 inch off top to bottom. As well, although our contract specified that the opening was to be 36" wide, the door size was wrong and it was too small. This created problems with the installation of a storm door that was to be installed by a different company. Numerous follow up calls weren't attended to to our satisfactions and in the end, it was the other company that installed the storm door that corrected Moncada's mistake. Also, we had specified in the contract that we wanted a peephole in our door and we never did get that and eventually gave up.
