We chose to use Restoration 911 despite their estimate being double that of two other quotes we received as they seemed to be more thorough than the competitors. However, when all was said and done I felt the job was done well enough but we were over charged.
The problem was the discrepancy between our itemized invoice and the work actually done (ie: being charged for materials not used, tech hours not used, machinery not used). I had to point out some of the discrepancies as the did not take it upon themselves to revise the invoice. They ended up reimbursing us $215 (on a $4600 job), which I had calculated to be much more. I was so tired of dealing with them that I figure another couple hundred wasn't worth my breath.
The funny thing is I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and suggested they come in to quote us on the rebuild portion of the job...but I never heard back. I guess they just wanted to take the money and run.
It was unfortunate to have had such a bad experience and we have other water damage projects and we were hoping to find someone who could do more work for us in the future.
