Less than enthusiastic in Surrey

A long time ago when shopping for tile to redo a bathroom, found a really good price on a lot of tile that was soon to be discontinued. Wasn't quite enough, so spent a little time hunting at other shops and found just the right thing at this store. The staff gave us good advice how to cut tile to maximize the amount of space we could cover with what we could scrounge together. Got the job done at a bargain price cuz we were able to gather what we needed by going to this store. They were really good for having odds and ends, so give it a try if that's what you need.

I have a pretty old Filter Queen purchased new from a door-to-door salesman with a trade-in of a really good upright vacuum cleaner. It keeps cycling off due to overheating of the motor. I wish I still had the upright cuz Filter Queen has yet to honour the lifetime guarantee to repair or replace it as stated in all the original paperwork I still have. Kinda disappointing for a renowned company, but I will continue to pursue the matter.

I found this really old model of an upright vacuum cleaner discarded in the trash area of my mother's condo building. It needed a new belt to work. Guess the previous owner couldn't be bothered to look around to replace it. I just did a search on the vacuum cleaner company's website and found the generic equivalent of the belt that would work. Found the product at Ace in a multipack for a very reasonable price, with a guarantee to get my money back if it didn't work. How could you go wrong? It ended up to be exactly right, so I got a pretty good vacuum cleaner out of it. Happy, happy that some companies like Ace carry some of the stuff for old products so they can continue to be used.

When we applied to qualify for the huge grants being offered by the federal and provincial governments many years ago, we hired this company to do the preliminary inspection. They were very proficient and informative throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend them.

Put our old appliances in a condo we renovated which sorely needed them. Had to purchase fridge, stove and dishwasher for ourselves. Shopped around quite a bit and found all 3 at Edmonds at a pretty good price. Our salesman was also very good and gave us extra time on warranties free, etc. It was a good experience.

Bought a new S/S GE fridge at Home Depot a few years ago. Surprised to find out that Mabe, a company originating in Mexico, has a lot to do with the manufacture and distribution of GE appliances to many companies, and Home Depot in Canada is one of them. While Home Depot was really great about what turned out to be a nightmare obtaining and installing the product, Mabe was less than efficient to deal with due to the many departments involved when you have to backorder a product due to lack of availability. The only reason I'm satisfied with the product is really because of Home Depot, not Mabe.

Just wanted to spruce up our really old and ugly kitchen cabinets. Thought we could paint them to give them a fresh look and replace the hardware. Was able to find lots of really quality handles/nobs to do that at a really good price when they were clearing out discontinued stuff. Worked for us. Keep an eye out for that sort of thing with this retailer. They have things all the time.

We bought several large buckets of what this company felt was one of their lower end products to paint the exterior of our whole house ourselves. Not only were the employees really helpful in selecting the correct paint for the job, but the product was soooo excellent it has lasted since 1992. We only have to spot wash it with a bleach solution where it gets a little dirty from the growth of all those water-loving things we get around here from the rain and it looks great again for another year. Wouldn't hesitate to do this again.

In the process of having to prune a lot of rather overgrown shrubs, I had to get advice and tools to handle the job. I found the staff really knowledgeable and helpful

Had to replace a tree per Surrey bylaws after having to cut down a dangerous one. They gave me excellent tips and were able to provide one that fit the requirements at a relatively reasonable cost.

This store had very high quality plants from which to chose a lovely collection of azaleas for a reception we were planning ourselves. I found the staff to be really informed and more than willing to help pick the best-suited ones which we could use indoors and then plant outside later. The price was maybe a little more than average, but the plants were great.

Wrote a review that didn't register, so I'm resubmitting it to let people know this is a great resource of a store for finding parts that are hard to get. I was able to find exactly the right glass shelf to replace one I broke in my fridge. The staff was very helpful the the price very reasonable.

Not sure my previous review registered, so I'm resubmitting it to make sure I thank this store for helping me be able to find the right part to fix my very unusual laundry sink faucet. It's solid brass and worth it to us to keep fixing it as needed when it needs a new seat, so we appreciate the help in being able to do so. Good to have local businesses who go the extra mile.

We had to have a beautiful old oak tree cut down because it just got so big it started to get dangerous. This company did an excellent job very efficiently at what we considered an extremely good price. Would recommend them to anyone.

Pretty good experience compared to most, which is how my online name was chosen. There were lots of promotions available, which could be combined to save a lot of money, too.

Improper installation by inexperianced installers resulted in product failure with no resolution for over 3 years. The boss of the company made garuntees in writing that installing was according to contract. They sent kids to do the install in error. Boss encouraged to install incorrectly. I would not recommend this product or company.We did it thnaks to neigbours professional contractor advise but it was a big mistake.
