We decided to change our cabinets, countertop, and sink. Design and measuring went well. Home Depot uses a variety of contractors to install kitchens. Materials arrive at the house from various manufacturers and are stored there until all of them arrive. Some parts were missing or of poor quality and Home Depot neglected to re-order them after having been informed. This caused a considerable delay. Two separate contractors were used to install the cabinets! The bottom line was that Home Depot failed to coordinate the job to our satisfaction. We were told that we had to track all parts that arrived at various times. Whenever I phoned to find out what was going on, I spoke to a different person who seemed to know nothing about the job. If you use Home Depot, check the contract very carefully - if it isn't specified, it will not happen - no matter what the salesperson told you. We paid to have the sink installed but the cabinet people don't install sinks so you have to wait for them and then the countertop people to finish and then call the plumbers before you can get the sink installed. We eventually gave up waiting and installed it ourselves. The official complaints process was even more aggravating than the installation problems - the store told them that our installation was complete and that we had been compensated! I eventually complained to the President of the U.S. parent company and even with their help, it took several more weeks to finish.
