This is the third time we have used Tomas for kitchen installation and remodel work. Previously we had Tomas assemble and install a complete Ikea kitchen, including island, for our basement suite. This included installing the over the range microwave, tile back splash and under cabinet lighting. The job turned out great. Based on the quality of that job we hired Tomas to oversee the kitchen part of our upstairs remodel. He switched out the cabinet hardware to the soft close style, made a new cabinet to match our existing style, upgraded the toe kicks and cabinet panels and installed the new built-in oven. For this (third) job we asked Tomas to help with the deconstruction of our son's one bedroom apartment and then assemble and install the Ikea kitchen and bathroom cabinets. For deconstruction he removed the drywall from the ceiling, floor to ceiling mirror in the living room, the vinyl flooring in the kitchen (hard work) and bathroom, and installed additional framing for the new ceiling drywall as well as the kitchen countertop. Similar to the first job Tomas once again installed the over the range microwave and under cabinet lighting. Tomas puts his personal touch into these installations in order to strengthen the cabinets and improve the overall aesthetics. We are very pleased with the end result once again. Tomas is friendly and willing to collaborate with the homeowner on their design and installation. While his specialty may be cabinetry, he is skilled in several areas which makes the overall job go easier since you don't have to hire a "handyman" to take care of all the little things that may arise throughout the job. And if the work is beyond Tomas' expertise then he has contacts with other trades that he can utilize to help with the work, such as electrical and plumbing which generally required licensed technicians. I will continue to use and recommend Tomas and "My Home Solution" for any future jobs.
