AVOID this company. They started out ok but kept telling me about problems they found--black mould, subfloor damage, and costs escalated and then I was told by my flooring person that the subfloor had been ok and they shouldn't have removed it and that the mould issue was easily fixable and not the big deal that they proclaimed it to be and charged me for. AND they made a HUGE mess, which they didn't clean up. They removed kitchen & bath plumbing but did not cap the pipes properly (used duct tape!) and caused a major leak into my downstairs bathroom and furnace room as the main water shutoff valve didn't close completely. Destroyed my shop vac (lost a wheel and broke the hose which they tried to fix with duct tape) trying to clean up the water on the floor. They promised to repair the damage they caused, and started to do that, but never finished it. Didn't cover ducts/cold air returns when removing subfloor and as a result, a lot of debris went into my furnace, and burned out my blower motor and another motor, which cost me a lot of money to repair. They also scratched my stove and destroyed my 3 year old Bosch dishwasher when removing it from the kitchen, and denied doing it. Dishwasher was badly scratched and door was bent so the dishwasher wouldn't open or close properly (jammed). Had to buy a new one. He kept pestering me to pay up front asking for money for gas, for example (how can you do business if you can't afford gas to get to your jobs?) and then had all kinds of excuses for not coming to complete the work I paid for. Never returned my house key, so had to change the lock. He said he would refund me for some of the money, kept saying it was e-transferred but it didn't happen. Mike got a 2nd bin delivered to my house (I paid for the first one) and the guy who owned the bin called me--he couldn't collect the $300 owed by The Demo Guys. And I am out of pocket a lot of money and the job that was initially to cost about $3,00o cost me $10,000. And unfortunately, I was dumb enough to pay for the work before it was completed, which is my own faultVERY unhappy with this company and would NEVER EVER recommend them to anyone. Have heard other horror stories since (crowbar through someone's stove door, for example) AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.
